Heya, new to VC

Hey, I'm Sidorio and basically I'm about to be starting out a VC army making use of the new Mantic Undead models for those who know of them, for those that don't I can grab a link to some pics for you. I've been playing fantasy for 5-6 years now and my current army is Dark Elves (corsair themed... lots of corsairs ). With VC I've always been interested in them and have wanted to have a sort of Wight heavy force sort of themed around the idea of cairns and barrows and the nasty beasties that dwell within.

Welcome to Carpe Noctem.

We had indeed seen some of the Mantic Undead models, and it seems were are divided over whether we like them or not. Still it means you army will be quite unique, and I for one look forward to seeing it. Make sure you start a painting log so we can see how your army progresses, and if you do have any questions just ask!

I plan to put up a log... just go easy on my painting skills. As for the models they sort of grow on you... or at least they did for me. After I got some samples of the elves they've sort of looked a bit better, though for me the undead seem to be more appealing. If anything they'll make an interesting change to GW skellies and Grave Guard, I still plan on using GW models for the various undead beasts available.
