no, trust me, I can think of worse. It all depends on the delivery - which is exactly my point. If what I said somehow belittled their plight or laughed at the devastation wrought against them, then sure. I'm at fault. But it is probably obvious that I didn't have any intention along those lines in any way. I just took what Archy said and used a historical example to explain why he was incorrect.

2. If you are thinking about the game, you are losing the game. (It is also traditional to say "I lost the Game" loudly so that everyone else in the room loses too.)

Also, I hate to be the bringer of bad news, but your name has a grammar mistake. I assume you are trying for "master of death". The correct genetive of 'death' (mors) is 'mortis'. 'mortem' is the accusative.

But actually, that was just bad pronounciation of 'board'.

In fact, he said board as an abbreviation of 'board game', a term used to refer to THE GAME. So he lost.
