Hi Everyone,

I want to make a black coach, but am having difficulties with ideas. I do not like the current model; I mean, it makes a great coach, but I just don't see what's scary or tough about a coach.

I was thinking of using the corpse cart as a base. Take off the zombies pulling it, have something else pulling it (horses or wolves or something), don't put the zombies in the middle, and make it beefier, tougher, scarier looking. If I don't put the zombies in the middle it would give a lot of room to work with. The wooden 'rib cage' of the cart looks a bit frail and would need reinforcing. I did like the boarded up cart idea (Ghost Cart Pic) so maybe enclosing the structure with ghosts reaching out would be suitably scary.

Ideas people?

lol I was actually thinking about putting in a cage; same kind of idea as the spirit coach, with hands reaching out.

My main issue is this: this is the baddest chariot in the game. Its as tough as a dragon, 4+WS, 3+AS. It is tough as nails and it doesn't look like much. A dragon looks nasty; the black coach doesn't look like anything dangerous. I want something that looks sinister / mean.

I like your idea, maybe like:

CC as mentioned, adjust the current structure so its more cage like
various ghosts reaching out grabbing
Stood atop the back where normally the balefire / bell would go a wraith looking like the keeper of the collected souls
Don't use skeletal steeds, needs something more scary to represent the nightmares.
A really good ghostly paint job.

Maybe have the coffin from the existing Black Coach model in the back of the cart, where the driver would normally go (not standing up, just kind of leaning... or built into the superstructure), and then have the Wraith at the front?

And, if you could detach them from their riders, Blood Knight steeds to pull it. Now that's a Nightmare...

Not really feasible as the knights legs are modelled onto the steeds, its the upper torso that's seperate, its a pity as I agree they would look ace pulling a black coach conversion

Modeling Bat wings on it always looks Ace. Combine that with a huge skeletal hand or two pulling it forward, and an actual Vampire rising from the back and then its scary assed

Well, if you got cash to spare, a Steam Tank with Wraith and all that would be pretty cool too - no idea whether all those Empire bitz on the Tank are optional though, otherwise it'd be a pain to remove them...

Just saying there are more options for the 'Coach' than to base it on the Corpse Cart, although that is, of course, a very nice model:)

build a flying pirate ship:lol:

Now there's an awesome idea:D Although a floating Pumpkin Coach is even better, of course.

How about the black coach from the necrach variant army featured in the white dwarf (forgot what issue number ;) )? Uses the black coack model as a base, boarded up windows (the boards are crooked), zombie hands reaching out from within, drawn by the old dire wolves, and painted to look ethereal. I would just add wings and perhaps spikes jutting out (to represent killing blow).
