I thought it would be useful to consolidate ideas for conversions or counts-as when it comes to adding Tomb King units for an Undead Legion Army assuming you have a gothic undead flavored VC army to start with.

Screaming Skull Cats: Zombified Bret Trebuchets (saw this alrdy mentioned)

Tomb King: wight king model on foot (seems reasonable)

Necro Knights: plastic ghoul king on top of those large space wolves?

Necrotech: Maybe the OOP Necrarch vamps?

Colossuss: zombified giant

Ushtabi: skinwolves

Casket of souls: maybe a static model using coven throne bits

I've already got a battalion of TK. I will be putting monk style robes on my skellies to make them look more gothic.

For chariots you might want to take the Scourgerunner chariot with the dark rider horses. http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-OVYMJSowpTw/Uo0-qXAf29I/AAAAAAAACC8/PgbSv34PLAU/s1600/5DEch.jpg
Simply replace elves with skellies.

Take Corpse Cart and replace zombies with Black Knight horses.

Possibly take some of the old skeleton chariots (there's two up on ebay uk for 18 quid) and green stuff billowing curtain type elements on to them etc.

I'm thinking a witch coven on a pedestal or rocky outcrop, with a large cauldron between them, as a Casket of Souls. So rather than an Indiana Jones casket, you have group of witches calling out curses and bolts of dark magic on their enemies.

I'd probably use the pool of blood from the Coven Throne. Maybe even use some vampire acolytes instead of witches to man it. Even just a single one, maybe? With some Grave Guard bodyguards? One of the old Necrarchs, poised over the cauldron of blood, pointing with one wicked claw while he spits out a curse...

I like it. I think I'll start working on it very soon, in fact :)

Very cool idea. The Corpse Cart master, the Mortis Engine character and a Banshee would make a classic coven of three, two old witches and a younger one.

My idea was a similar set up to the current casket, just replace the alter type table with the open tomb from the garden of morr.

Liches are nice and easy. I stole this idea from another user that I thought was cool, and my vampire long ago decided he didn't want any mortal slaves.

Agree with the Casket, that it should be straight forward using mortis engine & garden of morr bits.

On the subject of catapults, I actually rather like the bone construct look of the existing one, but I'm stumped on the crew. There aren't many suitable arm replacements for skellies and I'm not a fan of the mantic alternative.

My CC catapult might cut it counts as.

Anyone knows how the dimensions are on the casket? in mm preferably.

The Ironblaster/scraplauncer kit form OK. There should be loads out there in bits as no one in their right mind, other than me, makes a scraplauncher out of the kit :D
Of course! Makes sense - especially with you Ogre thing. I really like the idea and may use some bits of it for my undead Bret trebs.

Where are the bodies from for those Liches? Dark Elf somethings? They look awesome, as does the corpse-apult.

As bullhax said. That plastic sorcerer is blissfully easy to undeadify. :P I've also seen pictures of one used as a wight king bsb.

I was also eyeing the skaven plague claw catapult, but it has wires and other techno-crud on it -_-

the base is 6cm long by a little under 8cm wide, the casket itself is 3cm by 2 and 2 tall, the raised pile of skulls the priest stands on is 2cm tall. Those are rough estimates, I only had 30 seconds with the model and a tape measure to scribble down the numbers.

Holy Sh*t those conversions are awesome. I am going to use the Skaven Plague Furnace as my warsphinx.
Thinking I might putt a giant skull on it somewhere, but it kinda works just like it is.
It does look like that fire ball could do a thundercrush attack :tongue:And the "Rat Orge?" can be made into a crypt horror.

If I had a 3d printer, or skills with greenstuff I would make "wheel skeletons" as Necro Knights. The ones from Dark Souls/Berserk.

These guys are brilliant! The sharp edges around the neck opening really fits with the undead theme.

The mantic "ghoul ghast" makes a good necrotect as he's a ghoul with a whip and is going in my ghoul horde for poison re-rolls.

I've literally just lifted the Corpse Cart Master (with whip) from the kit, put his/her foot standing on a skull and put it on a 20mm base. Sorted.
