Bloodline Backgrounds
N.B: Newer players may not be aware, but in the 6th edition GW created various bloodlines for the vampires with different traits etc. Whilst the emphasis on the bloodlines has died down in later editions, the fluff has not been rescinded and as such is still valid.

• The Necrarch Bloodline
• The Blood Dragon Bloodline

Masters of the Night
Each of the above Bloodlines had a Master, the one who started the line and endowed its traits. The following articles look more indepth on these masters and also provide custom rules for games (please note your opponent would need to agree beforehand}
