very cool. will you do some sort of fur trimming or something like that to ease the transition between head and drum (helmet)? It does look a bit weird as is. will you do lava bases, or just general rocks?

Looks killer so far. Who's that Ogre going to represent? Have you scoped around for CD models that won't take any conversions to get on the table? I'm planning some bad stunties myself and I've managed to amass a handful of potential models. Here's some of the one's I really dig:

And this guy just because of his great bull horn helm. http://sciborminiatures.com/en_,shop.php?art=1048#i/2011/big/riff_raff_chieff_2_02.jpg

Food for thought. Your's are looking awesome so far.

Can't wait to see the Ka'dai on his finished base, should be epic

As for the ogre, he probably grew the beard because he felt inadequate, having no gut plate and all

Nice looking CD stuff, I see you decided to go with the cork bases. I think they'll come up looking really great, nice job!

I'm actually giving some love to my Skaven ATM and will do a similiar theme, but with warpstone-tainted water/goo.

This will be an awesome army! The skin on the ogre is great and the conversions are really cool.

By the way, what happened to that brush in the background? Looks like it's been used rather brutally :smash:

All my brushes have that. It is a bent style brush and I adore them. Can not paint straight anymore

You learn something new every day then!

That lord is a cool model, can't wait to see him painted.

Ok between these two models which is the better destroyer

not much of a shot of the first but i'm going to go with it because i'm not a big fan of using the different scale of lotr in 40k and the first looks like it's a bit more appropriate. also every mand and his dog has a balrog as something these days it seems so if you use something a little more uniu you might pull some more eyes :perv: ... and then when they are distracted by the model defeat them with superior tactics! :suck:

I think the ultra forge mini looks better, but the balrog looks a lot more like a destroyer if you know what I mean. If I was in your position, I'd go balrog
