Ah the chaos lord, ok, that's what I wanted to know ;) Funny, I also used an ungor head with chopped off horns for a blood knight (made from chaos knights :D )

Ah, and there I was thinking I was being original. They come out quite well though the ungor's huh!? Blood Knights are my next experiment, after my Hexwraith's still not 100% what I want to do with them.

Do you have a link to you're Blood Knights mate? -Would love to see them.

Just a quick WIP update on Count Vorri Von Rapt:

I'm really not sure on my colour scheme at the moment. Wanted him to be different from the mainly red army. C&C would be greatly recieved fellas! -Not sure where to take him right now.

I like him just the way he his... if you use the red you've used for the rest of your army as a highlight/spot color, you can keep the blue and he'll still fit in. Keep going!

I tend to default to metal for armour. Dark but well maintained for vampires, rusty and pitted for skeletons and lesser undead.

So in your case I would paint him in metallics wiith a dark blue sort of glaze.

Thanks for the comments guys:

Here is what I have changed so far, what do you think?

Need some tips for how to do the spear, want a nice contrast.

Thanks,

That was quick ;]

I'm not a fan of color purple on minis, but he can be slaneshi ;) Putting my own feelings aside - he looks plenty good. On the second pic he looks better still, probably because of being finished and with the blue lighting - it looks great with the minis.

As for the additional color - first I was with Theerteen - green would contrast good both with the purple and red, but green is almost nonexistent in your army and I'm unsure if it won't be jarring. It could also be a nice popping out accent...

Then I saw the next pic - blue could be awesome! Just like on the photo - blue elements or blue shades/highlights are giving them a nice cold feel and also a warm/cold contrast. My vote is on the blue - you could defintely experiment with that in my opinion.

@Theerteen I have a little feeling you like green? I've not played around with that in sometime so I may well give it a go!

@Borgnine I tried green and then went back to blue ;)I've been feeling soo annoyed that my main character doesn't have a connection with my mian paint scheme, so I went for a red cloak to try to tie him in more.

@Mad'At Thank you! -I also tried Orange, then went green, then went blue ;)

Hope it worked. Here's the result:

With a few helmet'less I'm not sure how well they will come out... only one way to find out!

Thanks,

@Borgnine Thanks man... I'm still really tempted to just go over the armour and make him fit in more with the overall scheme!

On a slightly happier note... I've put some work into my Blood Knights!

What do you all think? Will try to get a group shot soon.

Oh yes, they really look properly feral and bloody and frenzied! It seems that you're also quite succesfully pulling off the idea with beastman Vampires, as Theerteen did earlier. I wouldn't even think that it would look as good ;) That's different from the cold blooded aristocrats norm, but looks mighty fine.

Now I'm curious how you'll paint them so they'll be different than your black knights. Purple as the Lord maybe? I'm really looking forward to it.

As a side note... rearing horses... I should have thought about this when I was doing my Chaos Knights -> Blood Knights conversion, I wouldn't have such problems with ranking them up...... But well, good for you xD

@Kutslo, thank you! I hope I can do them justice when I get the paint out!

@Blutsauger, Really appreciate that Blut! In all honesty I can't say I have changed much at all. No GS, just a little trimming and an awesome bits box ;)

@Borgnine, I've since cut off any of the beards as well to get them close to a vampire with some form of decorum. Also emphasizes the jaw a bit more.

The fluff behind Vorri is that his old lineage was that of Nordlands Count. Until he received the Blood Kiss from an unknown vampire, his family was torn from him, along with his inheritance. Que revenge. (I digress)

Either way his heraldry and ties lye with Nordland. I was thinking of using the Blood Knights as his personal bodyguard and using blue/yellow as a scheme...

Open to opinions one and all!

Hey Count Corri! I really love your zombies! Also your skeleton poses are awesome! Looking forward to see more ;) Really nice idea for chaos zombies...and really nice conversions.

Oh my gosh! All your stuff looks impressive man! I really, REALLY, like your Grave Guard and the spear and board skellies, they are very unique. Krell looks awesome ranked up with the Grave Guard.

Looking forward to more of your stuff mate!

Now that's one brutal blood knight! Outstanding stuff with the beastBlue/purplish ones are surely looking good lately on CN!

But a yellow cape? In my opinion it looks strange and out of place... Wouldn't red be better? As the rest of your troops are red with blue accents I thought that reversing that and making blue/purple the 'core' color and making red accents would be a way to go. Yellow is a new color in your army scheme and i'm not so sure of it ;/ But it's still WIP ;) I think that it still be very nice - yellow or not yellow! xD
