"Krell, I command your host arise and slake its thirst" -Count Vorri Von Rapt

  • The masquerade of murder returns! A new game of Vampires Amongst Us has begun. Unmask the killers, trust no one, and try to survive the night. Find out more and sign up now!
Thanks Borgnine!

The reason behind the cloak was due to my fluff. Vorri was in line to become Nordland's count as a middle-aged man, dishonoured and rejected after he was bitten by an unknown vampire, he strives to reclaim his right to rule.

To do so he plagues Nordland with raising the dead of the warriors that constantly raid its shores. During his exile he roamed the choas wastes and was drawn to Krell.

- Just tried to tie in the cloaks. I'm not sure they work either to be honest. We shall see.

If that's your fluff, that's fine ;]

But I think you're mixing two themes - of chaos and Nordland - and that results in a confusion. If I were you I'll try to integrate yellow&blue into the rest of the army or maybe change the fluff to reflect the earlier colour choices

But I know, changing theme decisions is a pain in the ass and I'm having some problems with that right now too ^^' Regardless of your choice - I'm eagerly waiting for the results. I think that adding some symbols and colors into the rest of the army and maybe adding some empire-converted undead would be quite cool... or maybe it'll be too cluttered with both chaos warriors and empire helberds.. But I still think that you'll manage to make it awesome

Also - I like the fluff - it's surely a fine base for some interesting conversions and army composition decisions ;)

Think I may go ahead and change up those cloaks...

In the meantime I've been working on a Vamp lord on Hellstead...

Thoughts?

Wow, totally savage! All of your cavalry, look staggeringly intimidating. You've definitely captured the sense of... momentem(?) that the warriors sprue bring, and really done a good job translating it into a vampires army. Your lord, blood knights, and now your nightmare vamp all look unstoppable. Very nice!

I've always thought hellsteeds should be on 50x50 bases. That way they slot into cavalry blocks. Maybe they should then have a unit strength of 2? But anyway... the model just works better on a monster base. Cav base seems like it would be just too small...

Loving this army so far, especially the Beastmen heads for Vampires - never seen a touch like that before.

And I don't think the yellow capes look so bad, I wouldn't have chosen yellow, but probably because it's not my favourite colour. See how it looks when the army is done, the Vampire might stand out that much better among the rest of the horde.

Only went and got distracted with AoS and my Khornate army! Apologies for the false hope. Although I may get around to round basing the above units and see what they look like!

Onto my main topic! For the lack of a decent 30k Forum I have yet to find (Unless someone can direct me)... I've taken up a new army.

Night Lords. Was hoping to revive this thread as I will be kit bashing the hell out of my Skellies, to make my Night lords as scary as they can get!

Look out for screens soon!

Hey guys,

@Borgnine I will have to get you a side profile shot, its more a front to his helm!

On that and another note:

Really looking for help with the Night Lord dark blue armour. I'm using the air brush Kantor blue, layered up. A Drakenhof shade, then 75/25 Kantor/Pallid flesh mix for edge highlights!

I came here for Krell and his sweet army, and all that's left is some space marine update. :( Why not another log for them?

I'm Sorry Mioum.

I am playing in a AoS campaign at the moment, and when I'm finished with my Khorne army I will start to rebase my Vampire Counts & Krell. They need a serious resurrection at the moment!

Guys, I have used some awesome Vampire heads for my Night Lords Terror Raptor squad. I apologies its not AoS/Fantasy, but I think you will want to see these. Should be ready by midday tomorrow!
