Kroak'd

This weekend I got the distinct honor of fighting against lord Kroak. Let me tell you I was not prepared for the spamable nuclear bomb that would go off during each of his magic phases. Granted I brought a very under powered list to this fight but still....

How in the world do you deal with that 400 pt special character? 3D6 hits every turn i going to wittle down even some our toughest units. Need some advice so I don't get "Kroak'd" again

P.S. a vampire lord mounted on a dragon sucks.

If it's a magic missile then he can't cast it while in combat. Throw a huge skeleton bus with banner of swiftness at him and let him chew threw that for a few turns

It's a direct damage spell, so he can cast it out of - but not into - combat. Just do as you would against any massed shooting army and bumrush into combat.

And yeah...dragons definitely have their issues. I wouldn't bring one to an uncomped environment.

You might change your opinion of that Dragon in 9th but for now I agree it is not exactly optimal.

Get into combat asap. Target priority is key.

Oh man thanks guys. I didn't even realize that it was a direct damage and I was immune in combat. I'm hoping I'll change my mind in 9th hopefully

Yeah. Depending on how they do up the profiles, those zombie dragons could range between amazing and to downright broken. Though I'm sensing that 9th is going the way of Ravening Hordes 2.0 based on the rumours, so who the hell knows what we'll end up with.

Though the ZD is the only plastic vampire lord, so he's got that going for him.
