It's what balloons do... when you 'Pop' them.

I myself born and raised in Canada know both French and English and through French learned Italian, Spanish and Portuguese (which just sounds like someone whose been brained with a brick speaking Spanish) I am currently learning German, which isnt too diffacult and one day i hope to learn Russian as i have a great fake accent![]()
Oh com'on, not everyone speaks so poorly in languages that they are not native to :zombie: ..Although I hear plenty of people mutilate English here in America.. and they aren't even foreign..
ORLY? I have lived severel years in Quebec and to hear these Rednecks from the Deep South attempting to get directions good merciful god i remember with clarity this interaction
Redneck:"Parmzon Monsieur Quest Que Cest La Shopping Districay?" which translates into " hdfsjdah Sir What is the shoppng ghafsfoy"
Me: Try Rene and St. Laurent
Redneck: "Merci Gracias"
and this kind of incident has happened far more times then id like to say
Sanai said:Also, not knowing the context in which you'd be saying "She'll be right" I am also confused
Its a phrase unique to Australians, sort of expressing our easy-going attitude towards things.
Its sort of like when people say "No Worries" it generally expresses the opinion that whatever it is will sort itself out.
For example-
Bob: *knocks over a can full of trash*
Jane: "Shouldn't we pick that up?"
Bob: "She'll be right mate, someone will pick it up later"
Sanai: (2 hours later) "What.... who the hell knocked this everywhere" *Grumbles as he cleans up the mess*
Also, what the hell is "Pop" apart from a style of music?

Speaking of POP in Australia we call what Americans refer to as a 'juice box' 'poppers'. We had an exchange student from the U.S who found this amusing. The reason is when you finish drinking the juice you blow air into the empty container then stomp on it and it goes pop! (just incase anyone was wondering).

Not to mention that things are not often called by their characteristics except in more childish mentalities.. if that makes sense? I mean, we don't call cars 'Vroom Wagons' or ovens 'Hot Boxes' be it as it may that they are.
