OMFG I can't freaking WAIT to see your grave guard.
THIS is exactly how an undead army SHOULD look! A motley crew, pulled from different races and liveries. Plus fifty million points for using the HeroQuest models, obviously.
I love your painting style. Must look great on the tabletop with all those harsh highlights and shades. Beautiful stuff.
How many points of undead have you got in total? If the zombies are any indication of the vastness of your collection, you've gotta be around 10k, right?

That´s what I tried to to do since the very beginning, benvoliothefirst. An army with no common color scheme but the banners, full of miniatures from different manufacturers. Most of the army is painted tabletop level as my main issue has been free time to paint for a long time (you are right, it works very well there at the tabletop) but heroes and commanders (they deserve a little more efforts as eye catchers).
Not sure about the total points (I keep on buying and painting all kind of undeads as intermission between other armies and units), but should far more than 10K. 16K maybe?. I´ll make some calculations one day, promised.
And you´ll see more, promised too. Next to come, some undead and dry skin dire wolves. After that, grave guards.
