You made it over from Facebook! xd

I'm glad you did as these are bloody amazing!! All of the sculpts go to that next level in terms of detail and monstrosity xd I like the extra bits you added on to Nagash, I loved when GW finally did an update but I think you beat it, adding the crest of the new TK dragon was a great idea 😁

As for Vlad, its like a feast for the eyes, there's so much to take in!

Firstly, we've just opened up a conversion category in our competition to feel free to enter, you can find the details here

Do you mainly enjoy the conversion side or do you paint as well? I'm really curious to see what these will look like painted!

Thank you, very kind!

I definitely convert more than I paint, I took a hiatus from painting as it wasn’t becoming much fun anymore, I want to paint my whole undead army but think I want to finish up a lot of the conversions… didn’t anticipate them taking 5 years.

I’m actually doing all of Death, trying to represent every majot Character in miniature form ( although with slightly more monstrous styled concepts). In addition to Vampires and Nagash I’m also doing the other Mortarchs, like Virion and Arkhan etc. and as if it wasn’t enough, I’ve gpt a few more Undead homebrews. I’m doing an Mortarch for every Race, so a Death Dwarf Mortarch, High Elves, Orcs, Ogres, and Halflings. And also doing a Death Styled Durdin Army called the Dwergi Dredgelords.

I think I’ll enter either High Elf the Orc Mortach for the competition. For now.

Here’s My Dwarf Mortarch.

Drakebeard Oathbreaker, Mortarch of Dishonour (wip)

My journey continues to have a Mortarch of each Army, and this was by the most difficult to come up with. I have Azhag as the Mortarch of Slaughter, and Aliathra as the Mortarch of Sacrifice. Now I have Drake Beard Oathbreaker, the guilt of all the failed Drake Beard Clan Oaths, the ancestors of Ungrim who failed to meet their Slayer Oath. It is bot a Single entity but a combined host of Spirits, anger, shame, failure and mostly the unspoken Dishonour Karak Kadrin.

Not much introduction needed. I want a more intimidating looking Arkhan. Nagash’s most loyal Acolyte, and he was singulalry able to fight off an army on his own. I feel like now he can. I will be mounting the Mortarch of Sacrament on a Chariot/altar with his Own Casket of Souls.

Braugh the Slavelord, Ghrask Dragh(wip)

Spawn of W’soran, building this big brute and rewriting him a little, to be the corpse collector of W’soran, and the Necromancer he killed to have been one of W’sorans apprentices- in-fact you see Braugh wearing him here.

Necrarch Necrofex Colossus. (Wip)

Like my W’soran I started this unit quite a few years ago. I jump back to it every now again to add arms, cables, and other grim detail that form part of it’s anatomy (I usually stop after it’s cut me a few times😅). I wanted to make it visually different from the Nautical/pirate theme usually associated with Necrofex Colossus’ and try to make it look as a shambeling and grotesque creation of Father of Necrarch’s.

Astounding work Bearserker! Your conversions are some of the positively craziest things I've seen in the hobby. 😁
I understand that all of these are probably done over a longer period of time, but I am still impressed with how you manage to squeeze in so many details on so many models, time-wise. :)

Thank you so much, yes’ve been working on the Army close to five years now. I’ve got a lot unmphotographed right now. It’s quite expansive, and a lotmof these big conversion still remain unfinished. Finding less time to crack on with the hobby as the number of pets and plants at home grows 😂

The Royal Beast Flayers (wip)

Almost finished with this lot! Bases just need s little bit of sculpting and texture and just need a couple of cloths and gaps to sculpt on the Royal Flaymaster and the Beast Flayer. I’ve gone for a very different base style with these guys. Wanting a more wild looking series of rocks strewn with bones and carcasses. A Wasteland hunted and stripped bare of life: by comparison the rest of the Court all living inside Cathedral and Castle Ruins.

Morrgayne the Enchantress, The Spring Queen, The Carrion Maiden (wip).

Mostly assembled now, I decided to give her a Reliquae Staff (a big ol’ bone club) the Skull atop will have a singular horn to make it a unicorn - The foul and terrible beast the Maiden slew herself, and began her path to being the High Carrion Maiden - in truth the Mount was her Guardian in former life, when she succumbed to the delusion it was her first Feast.

These concepts are unbelievable! You have so much patience! I could never put together anything with so much detail and so many parts!
Thank you, thats very kin. If I have anything of it’s patience, maybe too much, I might fall into a small group of hobbyists that much more enjoys the process of the project than the actual outcome, to the annoyance of many that want me finish things in a normal human lifespan 😅. Also, given How much I spend on the big conversions I need a slow pace to build funds. Nagash, the Vampires and the Mortarchs are all exceptionally expensive and with difficult to source bits.

These are incredible, dude!
Thank you, glad you like them. I can quite honestly say my Undead are my favourite project I’ve ever worked on. Hopefully you all like Abhorash when he’s done…

Crypt Horrors. (Wip)

I wanted to make my Crypt Horros, like everything in my court, much more animal like. Essentially mini versions of Varghulfs. Or as with the rest of the FEC army, some variant in the Varghulf Hierarchy. Making the Court more of a Rabid pack of mangy Were Bats with delusions of Knightly grandeur. I wanted to set them aside from say the Varghulfs and other courtiers by giving them weapons, in this case a broad shield and a Saord - or to those without the Carrion King’s Blessing - a Tattered Wing and a grotesquely maimed arm, broken, gnawed, sharpened, regenerated and repeated over decades until the arm can be used as a Crude glaive made from their own bone and sinew. The fine crafting that each Knight must learn to serve under the Banner of Ushoran.

Aliathra the Everchild, Mortarch of Sacrifice, The Shadow of Avelorn(wip)
.
.
.
In my quest to have a Mortarch from each Warhammer race I found the Elves a particular difficult representation. Outside the the Dark Elveswhich Nagash kept captive and used in his studies of Magic. I found little other interactions. I do still want to include those Dark Elves but as a different capacity. But then I remembered Aliathra, and her sacrifice and blood forming part of the great Ritual to resurrect the Nagash. And thus, she was Ever a Child!

Wow - amazed even more! 🤯 The creatively here is amazing! I could probably spend ages looking through these, but just added a few thoughts below

Really love this concept, it's a real twist on the honour of the dwarfs

I want a more intimidating looking Arkhan.
A favourite out of the models, and that cloak is brilliant 😎 I would love to have this for my own version of Arkhan!

Braugh the Slavelord, Ghrask Dragh(wip)
I wasn't quite sure on the origins of this one - is this a vampire or a Necromancer that's been twisted?

Necrarch Necrofex Colossus.
Another favourite and how Necrarch creations should look instead of the horrible AT model from 6th edition I think

Morrgayne the Enchantress, The Spring Queen, The Carrion Maiden (wip).
Great concept, was this a Mortarch or just one of your Flesh-eater leaders?

Heinrich Kemmler and Krell of the Black Axe (wip)
I was curious on this one where the idea for the spider came from for Kemmler? Also I think Kemmler and his skull staff is iconic of you could include that somehow

Thank you, lots of kind words and feedback, very much appreciated.

-Glad you like Drakebeard, he was a really difficult concept to come up with, more so than any of other Mortarch…he wont be the only Dwarf though to join the Grand Alliance, I’m yet to show the highly Advanced Dwergii Dredgelords 💀

-I do really like my Arkhan, I should dedicate some time to getting his Manticore Chariot Complete.

-Braugh was a lore character written in the first Ogre Kingdoms book and the was a special miniature given to GW Managers. The Lore was that he was a Powerful Ogre maneater, trapped by a necromancer and magically chained. But he was such a brute than he managed break free from his bonds, kill the necromancer and now uses the chains to enslave the livimg and the Dead! I did a little bit of Lore kung fu by drawing in various loose ideas into a streamline to fluff out Braugh, firstly he is known as Ghask Dragh by th Chaos Dwarfs so we know he sells slaves to them. There is lore confirming W’soran openly trades with Chaos Dwarfs (he gives them slaves and they give W’soran metals etc so thought that was an opportunity to write in Braugh as W’soran intermediary and Chief Slaver! Essentially W ‘spran Very brutish and supremely effective Igor! Somplayed more with idea of making Braugh not just an Ogre, but a Flesh Hulk Champion. And the idea kept rolling, what if the Necromancer Braugh killed was one of W’soran lowly apprentices. So now he wears the flayed Necrarch apprentice on his face. A nod to the flayed Cowl the original model wears. (Photo of model for reference, not mine)

- similar to Braugh, I tried getting into the mind of W’soran….a terrible place. But lots of creative fun, I used a sugnificant amount of my undead bits to make this one.

-No Morrgayne wasn’t a Mortarch, she was mostly an excuse to use Ushorans stunning face as I replaced Ushorans toros with a kitbash, and as I’m using Brettonia as a template for a lot of my Flesh Eater Courts I thought it rude not to have a Fey Enchantress, so now My Courts have a beautiful maiden mounted atopd a majestic Unicorn.

- Idea for Kemmlers spider came from the Old Kemmler Barrows army List, they had a unit entry for “Barrow Stalkers” essentially undead giant spiders and scorpions, The White Dwarf entry had a Tomb King Tomb Scorpion, thought a Spider had a more, Old World Ancient forest and Barrows feel. So now it’s a Hiant Spider with a Barrow Altar for Kemmler to Lead his Barrow Legion from.

The Masque of the Eternal Banquet (wip)...The Troupe so far. I have one more addition to make into the troupe, The Crimson King, (Ushoran)in the Story still had a couple of harlequins (Courtiers) to add to the base. Along with the Death Jesters - The Flayed Buffoon (Nagash) and the Jugular Fools (Mortarchs) I think the Troupe needs some instrumentalists to add some Rhythm to the Dance. They all need some sculpting, and The Crimson King is a while off and several bits sessions from being completed.

The Crimson King, Lord of the Masque of the Eternal Banquet (wip)...The Player assuming the Role of Ushoran (MkII) in my Flesh Eater Courts Harlequin Troupe, I decided a simple abhorrent would not suffice tomplay the king and instead, Wanted to reflect more of the Varghulf styling which the rest of the Army, it also felt right that a Larger, stronger Being was selected to represent the Carrion King in the Masque of the Eternal Banquet. This most lithe, athletic, acrobatic and of course Handsome Varghulf, hand picked by the Carrion King himself to tell the Court through Dance and Song of the Sagas of the Flesh Eater Court’s beginnings. There’s still much to do on this most loved of troupers.

The Green Knight, Horror in the Woods (wip)

.

.

.

I’ve been wanting a Green Knoght for my Court for some time but just couldn’t work out an idea. I knew I wanted something Alluding to it being some sort of malevolent forest spirit but I just Couldn’t grasp what to make. So I laid out some abandoned projects and I got to chopping and seeing what fit…So now I have a Magnificent Champion of Carrion Grove. A Paladin of the Forest and Protector of the Realms of Ushoran. At least to the Courts, in reality this Horror is the Husk of ancient Varghulf, animated through foul Death Magic and the symbiotic existence of the Parasites and carrion that call it’s Ghoul Body both Home and food. Covered in Maggots, Reeking Fungus, and worse, The Green Knight of the Carrion Grove is a Horror in the Woods.
