So in the grand theme that @Mad 'At has started, I'd like to have a thread to create my own themed or un-themed lists for the 9th age and get feedback from people so I've created a thread. There will be fluffy lists in here, strong tournament lists and lists where I'm trying to break 9th's rules as much as I can.
My first list is a Von Karstein monsterous romp
Von Karstein Bloodline
Vampire Count
Level 2 Necromancy
Monsterous Revenant with Fly
Armour of Destiny + Shield
Ogre Blade
Storm Caller
Vampire Courtier
Level 2 Necromancy
Monsterous Revenant with Fly
HA Shield
Total: 850pts
14 Ghouls + FC + Skirmish
14 Ghouls + FC + Skirmish
13 Ghouls + FC + Skirmish
Total: 500pts
10 Barrow Knights + FC
Varkolak + Fly
Varkolak + Fly
Total: 614 pts
Still a few points spare to tweak the list with items or skills on the Revenants.
The army runs as a column, black guard out front with the 4 flying beasts behind. Shotting at the beasts is -2 due to the stormcaller and the cover from the knights and ghouls. Ghouls hound the flanks, redirect light cavalry and a damn hard to shoot at with -2 to hit because of skirmish and stormcaller.
Revenants make or take a charge, hold for one turn and then are supported by the flyers. Magic is used to restore any wounds lost in combat or to indirect shooting like mortars or hell cannons (or whatever those nasty damn things are called now).
Is it too cheesy? It'd be fun for me to play, wonder if my opponents would enjoy it as much.
