That's 3,006. Turns out I have more points than I thought! And that's without options, etc.

If White Dwarf isn't allowed, I have Battle of Skull Pass goblins (I know, I know) to do, and loads of zombies, plus 20 Grave Guard and 10 White Lions ...

Also If I decide to go with my WoC: If I'm repainting them entirely from Nurgle to Tzeentch, is that OK?

I will commit to 2500 Points of Orcs and Goblins, many for my Undead Bad Santa army. I will put together a list as soon as I can, and will start when the gun goes off!

I guess my poor VC deserve painting (sighs inwardly) but unfortunately even if I do, you guys have no way of knowing that. I can't get pictures up, unless I use my phone (all you see is green lines and an indiscriminate blob in the middle. It sucks.) so you won't have any evidence of me actually doing it. It saddens me, as I'd love to get a plog up some day.

I've painted one unit of "skeletons" (black guard painted all ghost-style, I love them_ but that's it. I plan to do loads of ghouls today, then try and finish building my grave guard and skelly units (15 grave guard with great weapons... *cries* ).

The list looks something like this:

I spoke to Redarmy about this, and I think we will use the current Tale of X Painters project area. The old plogs that are no longer in use (such as mine ) will be archived to make way for the new ones for this.

However if you already have a plog in that area, and by some miracle you are still using it, then I see no reason you can't continue to use that if you want to.

Great idea, Jake. I'd love to participiate, but I'm wondering what I'm going to paint. I currently plan on buying some Dark Eldar, but as I'm new to 40k I don't want to buy a 1500pts+ army and then find out that some of the choices are bad and that I should have taken other units.

If I can combine it with redoing my woodies however, I'd be in. They really deserve a new paint job, although the current rules don't favour them as much as other armies. What I still have lying around:

1 Scratch-built Treeman
20-40 Glade Guard to repaint
12 Wardancers to repaint
10-24 dryads to repaint
13 Grave Guard with Great Weapons
1 Varghulf
30 Zombies

+First DE stuff I might get. The DE are planned to be heavily converted though, so I doubt I will make it in time.

This leads me to my next issue. School/Work, I might or might not be able to paint on a regular basis depending on how much work there is to be done apart from painting. So I might have to jump off, which I don't like to as I usually always finish what I started.

Still, don't count me out yet. I'll see what I can do

oh dear god redarmy... this is a sign... this is a sign from the chaos gods saying I should get a move on. I happen to have just come home with everything needed to finally start making my bases for my unassembled, unpainted Beastmen army. problem here is I think I can have 2250 points bought and assembled, but i wanna really make great bases (ruined forest edge like bases with actual minerals from a construction sight I work at, the stuff is called Barite, look it up its awesome looking and as heavy as lead).I also want this army to be painted to a very high degree...Seeing as my first ever army (VC) now looks like crap to me... dont know if i can make 3.5 months with my social life and my full time job....

perhaps a longer time period?? If I will not be eternally shamed for not finishing in time... could I perhaps still join?

I also might have my converted HE dragon I could add. I turned the rock into a pile of skulls with zombies infront and turned the dragon into a zombie dragon. that conversion is almost done...

so this might have come too soon but id still like to try in 3,5 months

This is barite ill be using it for my bases. my company uses this stuff and i can take home small pieces. Im gonna use a particuraly beautifull piece as my herdstone (its got green vaines running through)

I'd rather do it late June because of GCSEs, but I can see how people would like to start sooner. If I'm doing Grombrindal and Thorgrim, that's nearly 2000pts sorted, so ... I say go for it!

I would second this. Unfortunately because I'm such a nerd, mine finish in July. I do the most written papers possible at my school. Shall I count them up...yes!

Ok, six for the three sciences, I think 2 for english lang/lit, four for latin, one for music, three for french, one for history, and... oh yeah, two for maths, one more for add-maths, and another for statistics. So, 21 exams. :tongue:
