I'd like to try WFO, get used to the rules, and enjoy a game. 1500pts, my VCs against anything, really.

Any takers?

I wouldn't mind having a crack at a 1500pt game provided you arn't worried about a VC vs VC matchup?

VC v VC doesn't bother me at all, though tonight I'm pretty well tied up with classes (till 1045 Eastern Standard). Doesn't mean we can't get the ball rolling, though. I'm very much looking forward to this.

Well, I suppose more on the competitive side. This'll be the first time I've played with the new VC book, and I'm thinking I'd like to see how a scream focused army will fare. So, for me, much of this battle will be a proof of concept. In the future, I'd love to start doing more of the fluff/story battles, however.

Ok, that's fine with me - It'll give me a chance to test out a few theories aswell.

I'll get a list sorted tonight & get the game thread started. Just so you're aware, I'm working off GMT, which means it'll be up about 2/3pm EST.

Also, unless you have an objection, we'll keep it simple & just do a standard battleline game.

How does map generation typically go? Does one of us create the map and the other simply agree to it? I'm tooling around in BC now, trying to get a feel for it.

There are two main methods:-

First - just follow the instructions in the rulebook for determining what & how much terrain will be on the map. Someone places them on a map (trying to be as fair as possible) & the other player will then make any adjustments they feel are needed.

Second - Stick some bits on a map, check it's ok with the other player & then roll for terrain types.

Doesn't really matter which - since it's all sorted before rolling for deployment it's in both players interests to make it as fair as possible.

If you're playing around in BC, do you want to have a crack at doing the map?

[/b]Sure. Do I need to do anything with armies or should I just work on the map itself?

Might be worthwhile to roll for terrain... be interesting to see what pops up.
