Here is Elspeth von Draken, the new Empire miniature from Forge World.

The background -

For generations the name of Elspeth von Draken, Magisterix of the Amethyst College and arch-wizard of the Lore of Death, has been spoken of in hushed tones in the reeking tavern gutters and vaulted noble halls of Nuln alike. Yet despite these stories few have ever paused to think what exactly the admitted presence of von Draken in the city actually means, and fewer yet could guess at her true power or influence. Furthermore the few foolhardy or overenthusiastic witch hunters, unaware of her relationship to the governing powers of Nuln or too fanatically sure of their own righteousness to care, who have attempted to delve deeper into her business or storm her tower have been swallowed up so completely that they have never been able to share anything they have learned.

She'd make a wonderful new servant for The Lahmian High Queen, though....

I also run a Nuln Empire army mainly built with forge world models but that one is awesome.
I loved the dragon by itself, the female wizard is not the best they have ever made but I love the detail on her and the throne itself.
I was planning to order one until I heard what was happening with vamps, since then I have had to push her back to the 25th of August....... I am sure she will forgive me.

apart from her right hand.... she is actually a pretty damn good female for a Games Workshop female (which are notorious for being a bit out of whack). She is actually proportioned like a real person. With a nice paintjob she would make a cool vampire lord on zombie dragon actually.....

Ahhh but it isn't GW it's forge world, same company I know, but forge world models always have been better really (bar price)

Well before GW resin, it was a better material for really good amounts of detail.

And on a side note Magesterix is almost what a female ruler of the shiar empire is called. Just drop the second e.

I have to tell you all that the miniature is beautiful in the flesh, I can't wait to start building it! Unfortunately, there was a problem with the main body of the dragon, some of the details had moulding problems. As a result, Forge World are going to recast the body and send it out to me, so it should be here within 7-10 days, from tomorrow. Ead Brown (Customer Services Manager) is really good, and I'm pretty sure he's running the Facebook page.

As a side note, I read on the Facebook page that Tamurkhan: Throne of Chaos should be available September-ish. Look to the next couple of newsletters, apparently.

Pietr, where's it spelt 'Magesterix'? It is spelt 'Magisterix' on the Forge World website.

That was a mistake on my part. On both words by the way.Magisterix in forge world and Magestrix in Shiar. Still similar though.

So what you mean to say Malochai, is you now have a spare carmine dragon to sell or to convert up?

No, only the main body that's on the trunk. The shoulders and seat are separate to the body AND the neck&head. Also, part of the tail is a separate piece. And, obviously, the wings are seperate.

Well you still have a body to work with or sell.... a head/other bits could be greenstuffed or converted.....

Just got mine today. took a while to get here, but it was well worth the wait. I have to say that it looks way better in the flesh than on pictures.
Can't wait to start working on it after my exams are finished.
