Hi,

At work, so don't have access to my book. I'll look it up when I get home. My question is, with a weapon that can cause multiwounds, can you only do one unsaved wound to a single wound model, or one wound period?

Eg. with the new Black Axe of Krell that does D3 wounds, if you do 3 wounds to an single-wound enemy model, do they have to make three armour saves or just one?

Thanks,
Grish

Usualy these weapons cuased D3/D6 wounds after armour saves so you,d take an armour save and then role to see how many wounds the weapon causes so against a on wound model Id say it would cause one wound.

In all cases I can think of, it is the unsaved hit that is multiplied, so a one wound model takes d3 or d6 wounds and dies particularly horribly:lol: but the wounds do not carry over. If fighting a Champion in a challenge, they would count for Overkill.

The sequence (where applicable) is:

Roll to hit
Roll to wound
Roll armour save
Roll ward save
Roll regeneration save
Apply modifiers to remaining unsaved wounds (eg x2, d3/d6, etc)

You therefore save against the wounding hit, and apply the relevant multiplier after the saves.
