Music while painting?

Hey guys!

I like to listen to music while i paint, or maybe have a movie running in the background.

Dio, Judas Priest, Rush or Zeppelin or some kind of adventuremovie like Braveheart or perhaps Lord of the Rings is what i listen to when i paint my skellies and Zombies.

What do you guys listen to when you are painting?

I listen to Rock/Metal, or Lindsey Stirling for music, and for movies usually matrix, lord of the rings,but lately its been episodes of Buffy the vampire slayer

What music is on depends on the type of miniatures I'm painting.
With oriental themes I have Cththonic on the background and asian movie soundtracks. With VC it's mostly goth, dark classical and horror soundtracks. For 40K I prefer EBM, electro, Fear Factory.

Parkway Drive or Caliban, Lamb of God, Devildriver. I like a pounding, moving soundtrack to keep me in it.

I listen to The Daily Show, the news, podcasts of NPR's Wait Wait Don't Tell Me, This American Life, and The Moth (those last two can get tricky, because occasionally I discover that I can't paint toys while listening to ten minutes of somebody sobbing into a microphone over the death of their daughter), Welcome to Night Vale, and the excellent original cast Doctor Who radio plays produced by Big Finish.

I'll drink to the Big Finish audios, they're good stuff. Which reminds me, I have two series of Gallifrey left to go through at some point...

Welcome to Night Vale is something I have to give a proper outing too, at some point.

As it stands I mostly listen to podcasts or stick the quieter bits of my music collection on shuffle.

I tend to find Listening to Sabaton when painting 40k goes great, really gets me in a gaming mood. :devil2:

Sabaton is great for painting. I also listen to them while driving!
