The plan is to just overwhelm my opponet with ION on my skellies to get them up to about 25-30 strong, have the vampire lords support my skellies in combat and get that beloved auto breakxD the zombies i would raise about 10-20 more in their unit and have them tarpit tough enemies like grail knights chaos knights etc. dire wolves to take care of any archerswarmachines and blood knights to crush anything like bloodthristers etc
I know its not perfect but what do you think i should improve on like add/drop any units and why thank you :perv:

Hi,

For a tournament list I'd definately try to upgrade your Wolf units into 'Dragon Traps' to use against the large ridden monsters that you might come across. If you didn't know it yet, a Dragon Trap unit consists of 6 Dire Wolves + 1 Doom Wolf - by charging and challenging the character on top of the monster with the Doom Wolf in your own turn you'll most likely keep the monster in place during its next turn since a single Wolf will be left standing after Combat Resolution. :)

To find the points for this I would drop both the Kastellan and Standard Bearer from your Blood Knights. I feel that they simply add to the cost of an already expensive unit without actually giving them much of a benefit. You might still need to find a few additional points to afford upgrading both of your Wolf units though.. I'd drop as many Skeletons as is needed in order to fit the bill~

Also, be wary of tying up units such as Chaos Knights with Zombies - they can mow through them in a frighteningly short period of time. Do not underestimate the dying prowess that Zombies possess! :zombie:

Lastly, if possible (in other words, if you have the models required) I'd turn your second hero Vampire into a Dread Knight, which would free up the Flayed Hauberk for the first hero Vampire. That way they'd both have a 2+ armour save, very handy for leading a unit of Skeletons into combat. :)

Thanks for the advice:thumbsup: i will defintely drop the kastellan and standard bearer and i will upgrade one of the dire wolves squads into a dragon trap just incase and i think i will switch the walking death to dread knight and give the other vampire flayed hauberk and i would add the vampire hero to the bloodknights unit!

But i dont think i will cut down on skellies because i want dont want to risk them being in such a small unit for possibly a longer time:skull:

And do you think i should drop the corpse cart and get something else are they worth the extra hundred points???

I'd still advice you to keep both hero Vampire in with the Skeletons. They need the added combat prowess more than the Blood Knights ever will. And yeah, a Corpse Cart is worth it if you have powerful infantry elements that can benefit from it, such as your Grave Guard + Vampire Lord and hero Vampires in your Skeleton units. :)

Edit: It might also be an idea to swap the Banner of the Endless Nightmare out for the Hellfire Standard instead. That'd give you some additional bite against regenerating opponents and Wood Elf forest spirits. Watch out for those High Elves though..

Yeah I'm fairly certain you can put a mounted character into an infantry unit. Downside being Look Out Sir! rolls need a 4 or something. So watch out for cannons and whatnot.

EDIT: I think I might be thinking 8th edition. If its 7th I think there is no downside to mounted dudes in foot units.
