Let me start by explaining
I wasn't a fan of the GW Corpse Cart but I wanted one in my army. Seeing as I just completed -3- units of zombies https://www.vampirecounts.net/Thread-RebelWithACoz-Painted-Zombies-Technique I wanted a cart to go along with them.
I decided to go with a plague theme and began searching for a suitable caster, or perhaps a master, that would be summoning additional zombies for reinforcements.
After looking at several different figures I ended up back at GW and found the mounted Lord of Nurgle which I've always liked.
I got extremely lucky and was able to snag one off of ebay for 12.00!
Once receiving the model I quickly assembled him.
I then set about coming up with a diaroma that would act as a proxy Corpse Cart. I remembered a thread on here that instructed how to do marsh bases. I'd like to thank Abbysal for the excellent "how to" thread.

I finally decided on having the mounted Plague Lord standing on a patch of ground and following Abbysal's technique I'd have a small stream running between a second patch of ground where zombies would be rising from the earth as he commanded them forward.
First I created the area the horse would be on:
The hole is where the peg that drops down off the hoof will fit into for stability. After allowing that area to dry and harden I set about making the 2nd patch of ground and the zombies rising out of it.
Here is the what it looks like with the lord also on the stand:
Directing his new recruits forward.
That's it so far. Now to fill gaps and get to painting it.
