My Cart-less Corpse Cart

Last update for tonight :boring: getting tired.

Washed with Devlan Mud

The armor base coated with Dark Flesh, prepping for the rust effect.

The Devlan Mud settled in nicely on the rump.

And the skulls and the horses head that is rotted to the bone based in Snakebite Leather ready for Bleached Bone.

The only thing on this figure I really don't care for are the heads hanging. They are really really hard to see to pick out any detail and are more of a pain than anything else. Other than that I really love this model. Hopefully I'll get him finished tomorrow.

Oooh that Devlan Mud settled in nicely on that horse. His skin is perfect for it with all them there nooks and crannies.

He's nearly finished, the only thing left is the scythe blade.

Horns now painted.

And mounted on the stand. I'll be painting the top of the scythe after it's dry and in place.

Bravo! Bravo! That looks awesome. It's a shame I'm going to have to destroy it on the field of battle (oh snap!). You put a tiny gnarled tree on that base and it would look like a Frank Frazetta painting!

Does anyone know Terrence Hill in one of his western, where he is not riding, but lying behind the horse on a ..., don't know the word,... When I see the rider I'm thinking of a Corps Cart where instead of T.H. there is the zombie pile behind it and the rider with the horse just 'pulling?' the pile on some big cloth or some kind of net. Around him Zombies throwing corpses on the pile. But, no, no I have one CC project, I will not start a new one.

I really wanted natural shading on the horse. I intentionally did the initial Sepia wash and allowed it to pool in the areas I wanted to create the shading I desired. The shade was then darkened further with the Devlan Mud. The color came out exactly the way I envisioned when I was thinking of the color.

It looks good.

One thing you may consider for it as an expansion of the project at some point could be for dealing with upgrades for the "cart."

The thing that I see with it as a relative easy way to do so is to cut a piece of transparent plastic from an old CD case or similar to match the stream's shape, then glue some bits of cotton balls whisped out for balefire, and sitting a small, fake crystal for a lodestone.

GW washes are made from pixie dust and unicorn tears. They are magical.
