Hey all, decided to start this with what i already got painted, i just started painting about 1 year ago or so and decided i might as well begin to collect... Without further adue, here is what i have done.

im going to try and update as much as possible, but i have school starting in two days, as well as a computer i have to build o_o

EDIT: also, any of the bases that are brown are now an ice blue color like on the vampire lords base

You said you've only been painting one year? I have to say that you have gotten far in such a short time.
I'd suggest that you dull down the cloak of the lord a bit, as it's a bit shiny.

I love the blood and drool on the CGs! The skeletons look a little too clean for my liking but very crisp lines. Great start overall.

Keep them coming.

Yeah i re-did the cloak a little bit and so now there is some actual contrast as well in between the lower and higher parts of it, other than that i just got my camera fixed so yeah! Prepare for many pictures

im going for a snowy themed army, and the crypt ghouls got a new color scheme i like much better, will post pics by the end of the day hopefully.

Here are the new pictures, including a better picture of the vampires back, the ghoul with a new paintjob (im to lazy to re-paint the other one atm so he will have to be an albino) zombie bob, and a corspe cart in the making. Enjoy!

The zombie looks great. It should have a bit more blood color around the intestine in my opinion or just have it running down his leg more. The CG has a great face! He is very hungry and upset. Let him through! Very clean looking eyes on the zombies w/ the CC. Addinga bit of a highlight on the rat will look fantastic. Keep them coming.

It is indeed a very clean painted army. I like that because I'm a perfectionist myself! Then again, a bit of gore could do. The zombie's blood from his stomach even looks pretty clean!

Is there a way to get bigger pictures? I like the artic feel to it but the size of the pictures seem a bit small to really get a view of details.

I agree then with you both. I have to say that with what most people call "shakes," it is hard for me and others to get that clean look off. Great job once again and very meticulous.

Thank you for all of the comments and ideas, and for the meantime the gore hasnt quite started yet once im done painting these guys im going to be making a fun little miz of epoxy, static grass, and molded green stuff that makes a nice little gory combo... i hope to post some pics soon, i just wanted to get the army done first, then "mess" it up a bit

well due to a series of unfortunate/fortunate events i will have a small delay on my painting log. Reasons are as followed:

1. AP Biology AAGGGGHHHHH

2. learning how to build and troubleshoot a custom built pc: AAAAGGGHHHH

3. Doing commissioned painting work for craigslist: Meh, needed the money (only 10 gobbos and a pirate though...)

ANywho, i expect the delays to take no more than 2-3 days if not less (depending on if my computer decided to be nice) and will try to finish the corpse cart

I am reviving this thread from the dead again! Due to a slight decline in grades, and a continuing commission job painting guys for my friends, i have once again found time to paint my own guys! Below are pics of some elves and tau i painted for them. Hopefully i will finish the corpse cart tomorrow, as well as my planned out custom varghulfs.

The vampire is pretty impressive... Very impressive in fact, I really like tha shading work you did on the cape.
A bit disapointed on the tau I have to say, especially the blood on he battle suit. But I know by personnal experience how effingly annoying they are to paint.

Well i haven't been here in forever! life got hecka busy, and just started to get back into the hobby with some guard i got off craigslist and remembered my dear old vampires... Will definitely be posting pics soon of both the ig, and hopefully more of my fantasy army (still have to finish the cart, its just staring at me in a sad silence D
