Im thinking about highlight the skin more but doubting i can pull it of without ruining it at this stage.

Yikes! That is one scary vamp!
I agree Mad 'At, I love the way you do faces, they are always very characterful.
The finish on the armor is fantastic and the bone helm is splendid!

Vigor Jim... Wow! Those have to be some of the best undead I have ever seen! And I've googled pictures for inspiration for quite some time!

Oh, and not only do those minis look pretty damn awesome, I think in one of your posts you also refer to this as your "tabletop standard", and that you normaly spend more time on painting.

Anyway, thanks for sharing, and keep it up!

@BlackCadian your comment really made my day, thanks alot!!
But i have to admit that i use very simple teqhniques like drybrushing, alot of washes and maximum 1-3 highlights, and there are people who are waaaay more gifted with the brush then I, i havent learned to blend properly yet (wet blend etc) but im looking forward to that.

Yes this army gets a bit speed painted considering the model count is pretty high haha.

Glad you are inspired, if you have any questions regarding paintjobs il be happy to answer them :)

Glad to have made your day, well deserved if anything :)

And I'll take you right up on your offer - how do you paint the skin of your vampire so....good?! They look super pale and the eyes and the red rims and eyes... I want to make my vampire look just like it! Could you maybe walk me through it if it's not too much of a bother?

@BlackCadian ofcourse!

Rakart flesh, agrax earthshade (this goes on just because the whole model usualy gets it) then i water down Pallid wych flesh to highlight, usualy one super thin layer in the deepest parts letting some rakarth show through, and then many layers up to pure Pallid wych flesh on the highest parts like in this case the scalp, nose, chin, upper cheeks etc.

Then i usualy use a thin layer of carroburg crimson or fleshshade to enhance shadows, i also use it to darken the lower lip. For the eyes i fill the sockets with blood letter, paint a white dot in the middle and then glaze with bloodletter over dot and arond the lower part of the eye.

And lastly i can clean up with Pallid wych flesh again if i need to. Teeth i paint rakart flesh aswell.

Hope it helps :)

Very cool! Thanks a lot! I'll give that a go on my Dark Eldar Haemonculi, should be perfect!

I think your minis look great! The bases very much so. Also I especially like the way you paint red. I think it really is your color and I would try to put some more of that on your minis!
