need ghoul ideas/alternative models

[Josef]

okay well i know there is something posted along these lines, but looking for some fresh ideas.

I dislike the GW ghouls and i need 40 for a list i am building, does anyone have any ideas for alternative ghoul models or conversion ideas? ATM i have looked at the heressy and aslo the flagelant conversion ideas but it judt does not fit what i am looking for.

Do you have a theme for the army that we could fit the ghouls to?

Are you simply looking for ghouls, but not GW's ghouls?

[Josef]

well the main theme for the army is an undead empire, the main symbol in the army is a reaper.

The best models i have seen bar none is combining the Flagallent box set with the ghoul box set. Basically use the Flagallent torso & legs with the ghoul arms & heads.

It looks superb, exactly deranged villagers who want to eat you. I plan on doing this myself.

i made one it just does not feel crasy enough for me.

Add some meat dripping from its jaw, or pose it better.

yeah have to agree, flagellant + ghouls = win.

theres some examples in my painting log, and i'm not the first to do it so i'm sure theres plenty of others around too.

if your theme is an empire army then they should fit perfectly!

I think im just ganna make the ghouls like you did my only other problem ATM is how to paint them??? a blue or greenish skin tone...why did GW have to make so crappy models for the ghouls

[Josef]

i know why i was not a fan of the flagelants and ghoul kit bash the models are to bald so ill be GSing hair on them to make them look as close to the flagelant heads as i can.

I like the flagellants models, but the idea for paying for 2 boxes doesn't appeal to me.

I was thinking of getting spirit hosts, putting on separate bases, green stuffing them hoods then basically calling them toxic ninjas.

Then again, maybe that doesn't mesh in too well with your theme.... unless you like ninjas.

no but i did manage to get 39 of the torsos off barter town for a buck a model =P, just need to wait till they get here from the UK
