Hey guys :) So I own a rackham cynwall dragon (not the titan dragon) which i figured i would try and convert into a zombie dragon for my VC army to save myself spending the money on buying another. I don't necessarily need to convert it into a zombie, but either that or some form of undeady vampiric dragon will be required.

This is the dragon I own - http://www.rackham-store.com/boutique/fiche_produit.cfm?type=622&ref=FRCYBO01&code_lg=lg_fr&pag=1&num=38

So having said that, has anyone got any ideas on how I could convert this model, and which model I could use to make a great lord on top?

Many thanks :)

Oh! That is a great model! How is your green stuffing hand? Strong? Because I have a few beginner tips (from a beginner himself :P) for making tattered flesh, and that dragons belly would be a great place for it. You get some GS, flatten it down on a wet bit of water proof plastic (like the plastic it comes in) with a wet brush, making sure its pretty thin, after all, it will be its skin. Then you get a modeling tool, GW make a good enough one, and pucher the skin from the inside out, tearing at it very carefully, as it can rip off the GS completely. Make a few gashes in it, but not too many, as a few look good. Then obviously the guts hanging from them... possibly the easiest green stuffing there is :D.

You could remove one of its eyes quite easily, just literally hack it out, and green stuff a small ball of green stuff hanging out of the gaping wound. I did it on a plague bearer, looked great :)

The wings need a few tears and holes, and if you do it the same way as the torn flesh its quite easy. And then finally, the last thing that I'd say to change is the large horns on his back. Take 'em all off, then just smooth it down with green stuff, and you could fit a good rider more easily. No idea what model to use there though.

Good luck modeling that beast! And it'd be easier to paint it like a vampiric dragon then modeling it like one. Red eyes, grey skin and there you have it. :P

Thanks Mr Fluffy, that's some good advice there. As for the mount i'm thinking a blood knight kastellan but i'm aware the legs are attached to a horse, so i would need a spare pair of plastic legs to mount him on top. Does anyone know what legs would be best? Chunky, yet wide enough to sit on a saddle on top of a dragon?
