Ok, turned out im using opera mini.
On the full opera browser, everything works wonders.
User menu, the seethrough bar at the top etc etc. And while typing there be an icon showing bottom right with 'draft saved' from time to time, quite convienient

Modhammer banners - might have to get creative there 
@Melle - glad you can see some of our new features. There are actually quite a lot of features that people haven't noticed yet. Like did you know you can highlight only part of a post, and an option will come up offering to just quote that section? Or if you press the Save Quotation button on the bottom right hand side, it will automatically load the post into a form so you can enter it into our random quote generator?

I keep finding new things I love about the software - the post editor/writer thing is orgasmic.
EDIT: Although I seem to be perpetually logged in & in the chatroom, even when I'm in neither of those. I used an incognito browser and I show up as "Online staff", "online member" and "in chat" when I'm only viewing as a guest...!
EDIT 2: Indeed, others seem to possess the same curse in regards to the chat - using incognito, 6 members are in chat, but logged in as me, only 4!

Yeah there is something buggy with the Member's in Chat - I have reported this and will wait and see what we can do.
Yes, I was going to ask about Chat, as I keep trying to find a way to log out of it, but I can't find one. Now I know why.
The software seems to be settling down quite a bit now. The bar is no longer floating around and covering posts, which is great. The only obvious thing that is still missing are the membergroup titles, zombie, skeleton, ghoul et al. Other than that, everything looks great.
