I agree, it does look a bit too big compared to the other deamons. Plus I don't really care for it's stance, and the fire or whatever it is coming out of its hand doesn't look right, doesn't seem to flow out of it's hand properly.

I think the Keeper of Secrets is the worst of the Forge World Daemons. It just looks weird and gross, but not in a good way. If it was really, really weird like the smaller version is, that would be okay, but this one is just wrong.

Anyway, onto the topic of this beautiful Lord of Change!
The first look I took at this model, I started drooling. The next thing I did was speak the words 'Must have!' After that I remembered that it was resin and would cost quite a bit of moolah to purchase, so I drove the thought from my mind. I think this model is amazing, absolutely incredible.
The detail is exquisite, each individual scale and feature is picked out clearly. The wings stand out in my mind, each tine of the feathers is detailed individually. Absolutely amazing.
I'm not such a big fan of the mutated pile of flesh that the Changer is summoning, not for any modeling reason but simply because it doesn't look really cool, but that's a small complaint. I think GW is trying to bring the image of Tzeentchian forces from insane pyromaniacs to ever-shifting mutants, which I am totally cool with. That said, this addition is totally fluffy and cool, although shooting fire would have been awesome too.

I think the stuff coming out of its hands is pink and blue horrors. Looks fantastic to me. I always thought great unclean ones and bloodthirsters were bigger than lords of change however. I also have no complaints about the keeper.

Than I'm wrong for loving it:tongue: I think it's the best one but I'm a Slaanesh worshipper so I'm probably biased.

I must say I like this LoC. I love the summoned "flame of flesh" although it could have been done better erupting from the hand itself. The faces and all are cool but it just seems to stand there on the hand.
The wings are incredibly detailed but the paint job is just too bland which is a shame. Not too fond of the pose either but I guess that's due to balancing issues with the huge wings, it would probably tip over if they'd went with too funky poses.

I knew there was a reason we got on so well xd I have actually bought Urban Legend Sophie as I plan to convert her to my KoS.

That is one helluva model! Though the BT is by far my favourite as it truly looks like it would quite literaly crush anything in its path.

Like others my only disappointment is the Kipper. Where the other GDs have their own look FW made the Kipper an oversized Daemonette. While not a bad model in itself it feels uninspired and somewhat rushed.

that LoC is WAY too big...

I too like the KoS the best... if I ever buy any FW Daemons, the KoS is my 2nd choice (after the Avatar of Khaine of course, which is BY FAR the best!) :D

As a Chaos Daemons player, the size is actually quite good actually.
I mean really, are we complaining about the size of a Greater Daemon?
Tzeentch is also considered the most powerful Chaos God, which I couldn't argue against.

The BloodThirster is hunched over, and you can see that they are of equal size if he stood up.
The Keeper of Secrets is fine as it is, it would be rather silly to see one the size of the Lord of Change moving that fast.

Ruele-wise as well, I think the Greater Daemons are very under-powered for what they are...actually, now that I think of it..

Chaos Daemons are completely rubbish for what they should be, ah but of course there would be utter imbalance issues xD

Anyways, great model, I would buy it but resin is a big no for me.

If everything was 'what they should be,' everything would be more powerful and Space Marines would have a rule that states that they always win.
By the way, have you read the rules for these models as Special Characters? They're freaking insane!

I think Khorne is supposed to be considered the most powerful Chaos god, with Tzeentch close behind.

Tzeentch used to be but the other three ganged up on him.
have you seen the pic in the High elf book the one where the Bloodthirster is fighting the Dragon in the background while the Elf is fighting the Keeper of Secrets the elf isn't even up to the keepers knee

lol yes but if you put it that way, no good would exist anymore. Come on, everybody knows that the Empire would be owned by Chaos.

Chaos would soon rule the world. :konrad:

But a certain God intervenes... oh wait I mean GW. :silent:

Its the same with our poor vampires. Back in the 4th they were closer in stats to that their fluff states they should be with S7 & T6. But as with everything, stats have been lowered for balance sake.

It would be interesting though, if at someone took off the limits, and extended the stat scale say from 1 to 50, then using that correctly stated everything based on fluff alone.......

By the beard of Zeus! :O

I think that is absolutely amazing... I'm a fan of the image GW has of the Lord of Change; but their own model never quite fits the bill for me. This on the otherhand is spot on. I think the size of it is great; tall and spindly works well for this particular Greater Daemon, and as Chunky said, the Bloodthirster would be of an equal height if it wasn't in full on stomp mode!:devil2:

Have the official rules and whatnot for this model surfaced yet? I'm hoping we've got a Tzeentchian equivalent of An'ggrath the Unbound on the cards...

Well done FW... well done!
