Newbies idea for fluffy list

Hi, so yes I'm that kind of player who likes to field something different. So the question is can you do a fairly workable 2k 8th edition Ghoul list.

Yes, I know I'm pretty much limited to playing in the melee round but I'm not wanting to win every game (although the odd one or two would be nice). I'm usually playing against either flavour of Dwarf or some type of chaos.

So here's a rough list...

Hi Sir Steve and welcome aboard! Good to see you posting lists already. It is a cool flavourful list you've made. However, if you are going up against Dwarves and Warriors of Chaos then you will face a lot of good armour saves... And your army currently have no way of getting through that. So what you need to find are ways of either bypassing saves (like with Terrorgheist screams) or reducing the save (for example with high strength attacks).

Yeah, a very cool and thematoc idea, i like it.
But as said, against those opponents, you are going to sttuggle.
But hey, you can try it and see what needs to be fixed.

Yeah, might need to proxy (something I hate doing) before painting another 50 ghouls.

I get the reluctance to proxy, but I would really recommend doing it while you try out different lists and see what works for you. There is nothing worse than spending months painting up an army only to find out the it doesn’t work or that you dislike the playstyle.

As long as you don’t play the infamous eggraiders...

(For those that don’t know: old 40k story, with this dude that was used to play with proxied models and a day took an eggs box as land raider "because you know, before buying such a costly model...". That egg box became a staple in his lists... 'til the day he fielded a second eggs raider)
