And gz to your girlfriend, the paint job is neat, maybe she can add a bit of a wash work to create shadows and make the model more realistic.

The vampire lord looks sweet! Quite nice color scheme, especially that you did it without red color

I'm wondering what about those bases with tiles you mentioned a little earlier? As much as I see, you already applied sand to the base of this guy. I think it would be easier and better looking when you apply first tiles and then sand - but maybe I'm wrong Nevertheless, get sure to get some thick paper for that Nice and cheap method of doing it and should do the trick.

EDIT: Also - I like the bloodshot eye on the wolf your GF painted - nice idea and I think I will try it next time

Thanks! Yeh I tried applying some tiles but that didn't really work out that well. I had one of the texture paints laying around though and this made a nice test model for it.

I could still apply the tiles afterwards should I wish to. Though I figured it might be easier on models that I haven't glued to their Base yet.

@Hellion Nox Awesome looking Vampire Lord you've done there, the colours work really well and I like the use of the Chaos Knight's mount. Have you made up your mind on the basing of your army then?

The texture paints work quite well IMO, but I think they don't really stretch too far for a miniature-heavy army. I use them for small bases but go for good ol' sand and paint for larger bases.

@Farmer7574 thanks & yes I do and what a struggle it has been.. In the end I figured that starting off with something easier was the way to go for now. I consider myself a novice when it comes down to painting/basing so I've still got plenty to learn I'll be ordering some tombstones online aswell so I can add more life to the bases.

Next up will be 2 morghasts and I'm looking forward to doing those.

@Hellion Nox Good job. Crazy that I've got my VC bases worked out and only have a handful done from 18 months back, yet have 150+ OnG guys half-based because I can't make my mind up on those :slapface:

Those Morghasts are wicked and I'm looking forward to seeing them done. I haven't bought any of those guys.
