Suicide, you say? I completely agree, but I think of it more as a tactical sacrifice.

If a Bloodthirster manages to swoop in and charge my bunker of ghouls, I want to be prepared. Can a ghast issue a challenge? If so, can the Bloodthirster refuse it and still be able to fight?

The reason I ask this is simple. Overflow limits the combat resolution his crazy number of attacks rewards him. 1 wound + 5 overflow versus 3 ranks and outnumber... I'd only lose by 3. And if I could get someone on his flank (+1) and backside (+2), it'd be a push.

Demons are my biggest threat, so I want to be as prepared as possible before I play in a tourney this weekend.

Nope the Bloodthirster must accept - no where to go if he declines.

But there is a much better and easier way - the Dire Wolf trap!

Take 7 dire wolves plus doom wolf. Get them into combat with the BT - ideally make them a tasty tempting bait. Challenge with Doom wolf.

By max CR crumbling you will still be left with one wolf. BT tied up for one turn. If you let him charge next turn (your turn), raise the Doom wolf, challenge him again, thus holding him up for another turn.

By this point you should have some other units ready to flank etc.

this only works well when they have frenzy, but its funny, whaatdayamean i have to charge your freakin wolfs they are like 70 points! ill take suck it demons for 500 alex? yay for undead fodder
