Now dont go and clean them show us your painting area ill start with mine. I started cleaning it b4 I thought of this post but i feel like shit for how my painting table looks lol.

Here is mine its about 50% clean

this is on top of my entertainment center =\ I got to much stuff

This is why I feel like crap I let my desk goto crap and got 2 commissions mixed up (at least 1 is for Warmachine and the other is warhammer 40k)

Side not Helen Hunt is fucking hot...watching Twister and im tired as yall know I say random but truthful stuff.

I have stored at my brothers:

2x Broadswords
Chinese Katana Breaker

Some kind of Chinese short sword

In addition I have a tri-blade. (image the three pointy bits off a trident, swap the three prongs for blades and where they join together is where you grip it)
An double edged knife with pentacles on it.

A perfectly balanced hunting knife.

...................yep a bit off topic there. I don't have a set painting area as I clear a table when I'm ready to paint and then pack stuff away after.

OK, I'll play. Here is my work area, nothing fancy. I like plenty of light when I am painting so I'm running 5 different daylight bulbs, two on my ceiling lights and three in lamps. Yes those are series 7's and an optivisor on the wall, I can never feel cool wearing that damn thing but it is indispensable. I find it funny how a lot of people have swords in their work area, mine are there in case zombies ever attack. Also I didn't clean up, I try to stay fairly neat.

Close up of my desk. Those high elves are eventually going to be my spirit host. I did this cause one of my buddies plays high elves and I want to be ready for a winds of undeath.

I used the tutorial on Cool Mini or Not. Here's a link.

It was fairly cheap and easy to make. I made mine bigger than the ones in that tutorial. Canvas stretcher bars are dirt cheap and so is vellum paper. I bought mines at an art store and the light box ended up costing me a total of 16 dollars and change. The lights were a little more expensive.
