Yeah, EArkham (I do thin that's his CMON name) has some great tutorials on his site. I especially like the one on how to paint red. The step-by-step pictures are always great and show exactly what he means. :D

Cheers, Wolfie

Very nice. The gem made into eyes is something I´ve never would have thought up myself. The list of 10 is also a good thing to keep in mind, especially when it comes to gore.. I think we all have seen some seriously over the top gore some time.

Cheers for the link matey

Oh my god, i love you Richie!
That has got to be the best tutorial site i've ever seen!
Maybe not so important for undead, but i think everyone should check out the plantlife tutorial. Paper! Who'd've thought?

Sorry, got a bit excited but seriously great stuff there, thanks!

@Danceman, definitely very...bloody :grin:

Wow! That's one good face...shame i can't read German...
@Richie: can i ask a few questions? Do you know what sort of putty the guy is using in the face tutorial? and is he doing all the sculpting at once or letting it dry in sections?
Oh, and why do the pictures start with a half done face, but then seem to start again?

The wings tut. is very good as well, but i've seen it before.
Thanks Richie :D.

Edit: maybe this should be stickied?

The putty he is using is called procreate, I have ued it once or twice and it does live up to all the hype, (very similar to green stuff but less sticky and hold shape better when freshly mixed)

However I prefer green stuff as that is where all my experience has come from.

As for the face he will let some parts harden slightly (I have done this too) the initial ball which the face goes on to should be left to harden completely.

I don't quite know what you mean about the tutorial being "half done" but when I click on the link the photos flow froma simple ball of putty right up to the completed piece.

As for WIP shots, I know from experience that getting WIP's is exceptionally hard to do as you need to use each part of the putties drying time to your advantage. (one of the reason with Nakai and Kroak that there are so few WIP shots of the face or other areas of detail)

The only real way you could get a feel for how I go about sculpting is if you watched me as I did it or I set up my HD camera and filmed myself sculpting (though I would have to edit out alot of swearing)

OK, thanks Richie.

For me the second and third pictures down are of what looks like a half shaped face held in the clip without his hands in the picture...maybe he sculpted the face in the tut. over one he'd messed up earlier?

Donno if you've seen Vincent Hudon's Magmatrax before, but DAMN! Superb article of an amazing miniature!
