What color/mix of colors should I úse for the skin? I was thinking about mixing Bleached Bone with Skull White to get the pale human skin.. Can anyone tell me how to upload my pics? xD

This is how you upload the pics:

1 make a photobucket account, then upload your pics there.
2 right click the images (in photobucket) and chose "show pics"/"view image" (or what ever it's called on english computers).
3 copy the URL (ain't much of a computer freak so correct me if I'm wrong)
4 choose "new reply" in the forums.
5 click the insert image button (by the "text colour" thingy)
6 paste the URL(?) and click OK.

Try and make sense out of that... :D

Well, I ain't a computer freak either (who'd have guessed? :P), but its easier if you do make a photobucket account, then once you have it uploaded, there will be 4 copyable "URL" type things, so click the last one, then paste it right into your post, the IMG tags should work

Hey Chobber, generally I undercoat all my models with White as I find it easier to work with and because I paint in many thin layers rather then a few thick. For the most part my vampires have a porcelain look to their skin which I achieve by starting with either a dark grey or a dark blue grey colour, after which I build up to a lighter shade by highlighting the prominent areas of skin such as the cheekbones, chin and forehead. I hope this helps, and good luck.

I do the vevy opposite, working from black up to near bleached bone. I do it in around 6 layers, and pick out the teeth and eyes seperatly. Start off with Scorched brown, then a 50/50 mix of scorched brown/graveyard earth. You needn't be too neat at the start, but make sure you can see the darker browns under the lighter ones, even if just slightly. I do the same technique for bone as I do for skin, except I don't use the last step. Instead I use some of the new washes, the sepia one works well.

Hi all, am new to the forum. Am really interested to learn how to paint vampires, especially them zombies. I'm kinda havin mixed feelings towards paintin them bluish, or greenish or flesh toned (dwarf flesh/elf flesh).

Heres a Strigoi vampire i painted usin the bluish tone :D

I felt the blue was kinda wierd. But i didn't really envision seeing a whole army of bluish undead. Would appreciate any advice ;)

I use this for vamp skin:
1. Basecoat: tallarn flesh
2. Highlight: tallarn flesh + Dheneb stone 1:1
3. Wash: watered down chestnut ink 1:5
4. Highlight: tallarn flesh
5. Highlight: tallarn flesh + Dheneb stone 1:1
6. Then add more and more skull white to the mix (until you're happy with the paleness)
You can see the result on the Konrad in my paint log

Hi The Dark Sheep,

I tried out your advice on the vampire flesh and its been really great :) thanks a bunch. Been to ye blog as well and i really like the way you paint yer skellies as well.

Hi Crimson, the mini is based on the reaper crypt bat thingo, but i cut the head off and used a space wolf head with modeled on hair :D
