The Pantheon of Kherga.

“Today I finally saw the outskirts of Kherga, the fabled city of Sethreios the 200 year old King. It had beautiful stonewalls where the white facing still was visible and the towers on the city wall were shining white, almost as if the stone had been set up yesterday. It was a sight to remember.
As I walked into the city, I saw not ruins as I had expected, but a complete city in all its shining glory. The streets were paved with white, blue and black stones that perfectly marked the importance of Kherga in nehekharan history, as some of these stones had been imported to Kherga from cities like Khemri and Quatar. Truly Sethreios had everything he ever wanted, but how come that the city wasn’t in ruins?
That I was going to investigate in the 3 weeks I was to stay here.â€ÂÂ

“My first night spent in the city was great. I had no troubles sleeping at all and the house I moved in to, was luxurious and had probably belonged to a rich family when Kherga was in her glory.
The mission for today was finding the Cult Temple of Sether, the highest god in the khergan pantheon. If the rumor was true, it was to lie on a hill, overlooking the entire city.
It took me an hour or two to find it and by Sigmar it was beautiful. The gate pylons to the temple were of pure white with some black stones laid in as a pattern. The banners blew in the wind and the statue of Sether stood without missing a detail, unlike the rest of the statues in Nehekhara.
As I walked in the temple doors, I was amazed to see the amount of details on the columns and on the walls. The hieroglyphs were whole without any paint missing, almost as if someone had repainted them earlier this year. The murals contained the pictures of Sether and Sethreios. Seeing those two on the mural inspired me and I was awed by the fact that the king didn’t kneel down in front of Sether, but greeted him like a son would greet his father. Perhaps the legend was true? Perhaps Sether had given a son to the world.
I spent the rest of the day looking around in the temple and I was amazed to see the entire pantheon of Kherga painted on a wall, with descriptions of all the gods and their place in the hierarchy. I will come back tomorrow and document my discovery.â€ÂÂ

“Today I woke up due to a noise coming from the street, the sound of feet moving. I ran out of the house but there was no one to see. I had told no one where I went because I wanted this discovery for myself and I planned to keep it that way. I made several traps, keeping anyone from entering the house and, for that sake, the street. I wanted to see who had followed me.
After the traps had been set up, I walked back to the temple and began writing the pantheon down. I have kept everything the way in was written on the walls, but some parts made no sense at all.
Here comes the list of gods in Kherga:
Sether reigns supreme in Kherga as well as in the desert. The lord of the sun battled with Ptra for many moons and came out triumphant with the sun in hand and disposed Ptra, the defeated sun god. He who holds the sword in hand cheer for Sether, your deity, and he will keep his hand over you, as he did with Sethreios the avatar of Sether. May he restore your life in the time of Strife that will happen when Sethreios awakes; the god of rebirth shall conquer all death!
Anubither reigns in the underworld and all glory be his, for all soldiers will meet him in their final hour and some will be granted access to his hall of heroes. Those that enter shall be honored for all eternity and shall rise the day Sethreios claims hold of Kherga once more.
The God of magic shall restore our warriors and bring eternal glory to Kherga. The true avatar of Anubither remains to this day Sether-Ma’aty, the High Priest of Sether.
Anubither is the only son of Sether and serves him well!
Sethreios, the god of youth shall keep his soldiers young and full of vitality for they are the backbone of Kherga. May our lord be kind and rule supreme when he awakes!
The only ruler of Kherga to rise to godliness and do battle with the gods for influence and prosperity for Kherga, may his rule be glorious and serve the people of Kherga well!
The only mortal son of Sether, may his reawakening be glorious!
Sakhmery, the true goddess of Kherga. Her domains are war, love and beauty.
She is the source of inspiration for the khergan architects and they hold her in high regard. She who married the god of youth is indeed supreme and she shall rule for ever!
Being more than 180 years old, she truly kept Sethreios happy and served him well!
This is indeed the fabled pantheon of Kherga. I’m surprised, to say at least, to see Sethreios and his wife Sakhmery in the pantheon. This goes against all common logic in Nehekhara.â€ÂÂ

“Today I went to see the traps and they were empty, but once again I heard the sounds of feet behind me. I turned and there was no one. The city was starting to freak me out.
I had decided to go and see the grand obelisks dedicated to Sethreios and Sakhmery, just to see if they held some clue to how the city stood in full repair.
When I walked down the road to the royal area, I was shocked by what I saw. In the area close to an obelisk, I saw a stone that was cut within this week along with fresh chisel marks. Somehow this city was alive, and I didn’t like the fact that I was here.
Slowly I ran back to the house where I had been resting, but when I came down the street, I saw skeletal warriors rising from the necropolis inside Sethreios’s pyramid complex. I stood there all puzzled. How could the dead walk the streets?
I quickly ran towards the housing area and saw more skeletons, but they were working on the city, almost as if they were ordered to restore the city! Was I going mad? Patrols of 10 skeleton warriors were walking the streets and I feared that they would see me.
Suddenly, everything went quiet and then a huge stone door was dragged aside from the main pyramid in the complex and out walked High King Sethreios and High Queen Sakhmery, followed by the High Priest Sether-Ma’aty. I stood without moving and I felt that Sethreios had seen me. Then out of the blue, came a skeletal hand and grabbed me. I looked behind me and saw the skeletal remains of Sethkha, the Icon bearer of Sether. I was lifted up and dragged to the pyramid.
When I saw Sethreios standing in front of me, I felt humbled and awed. I could do nothing but kneel to him. I thought he would decapitate me, but alas I was not so lucky.
He ordered me to stand up and tell him if I enjoyed my stay. Slowly I stammered a “yes, yes your highnessâ€ÂÂ.
I was then told to either leave the city with what I knew and warn the people of the north that Sethreios and the legions of Sether was on the march again or I could stay in the city completing my work and then receive food and all other things I ever dreamed of. I chose to stay and have never looked back. So here you have it my lord, I have renounced the worship of Sigmar and now worship the true god of war, Sether.â€ÂÂ
Yours truly,
Sethe, the Grand Vizier of Kherga.
