D returns into the room after his conversation with computer friend, and was genuinely surprised to see blue clearance here. He began reading the diagram with interest, until he noticed the title and averted his eyes quickly.

D glances at the rest of the crew and notes something down, pausing to have one look at them before continuing to write.

Yakai put his pistol back once the guards had left before turning to the robot with a sour expression on his face.
"Diplomacy was in the flow chart already... Speaking of which, Mike, how is it? Hopefully the traitor didn't muck it up..."
He looks up at Desarius.
"You need to get yourself ready. Once we've got all we're going to get out of it while its quiet, we'll plug it in again. We don't whether it will know there's a hole in its chassis. Your reactions should be fast enough to apologise before it realises if its about to: I've no idea what it does, but I'm not planning on getting incinerated or anything. Aparently the droid is also ultraviolet property as well..."

D looked up at Yakai.

"Would have been nice if we knew that earlier on.."

Is what he thought would be suitable to say, but he merely nodded and picked up a radiation shield. It'd offer better protection than nothing..

"This things a bloody mess!" Mike said with annoyance losing his happy tone for the first time, part of his annoyance coming from his partner's useless death.

"Give me a minute." he said bending down to get a closer look at the droid before freezing a moment and looking up "And err...be ready incase it decides to activate...which it won't...probably."

"I'll have to remove this mess before looking at the mechanics of this bot, after I do that we can consider plugging it back in." he explained.

With that he knelt back down looking into the machine and taking out some INFRARED plastic bags he began to clean the rotten rubbish away.

At the bottom of the bot is a panel, still stained with a distressing amount of foul-smelling grease. A catch fastening it closed looks easy to open.

With the mess now bagged Mike shook his head slightly and examined the bot's internals.

"Err..."

Reaching in he pulled out a broken...something.

"This part is burnt out...I have no idea what it is so I can't fix it but I'm sure it's the reason the Bot broke down."

Mike shrugged "The Bot isn't going anywhere...it's likely this damage was done by the exploding pistol."

Standing Mike grabbed the filled INFRARED plastic bags which he'd dispose of later and smiled happily at everyone.

Mike retained his smile although it was beginning to look strained.

"The complete ruination of this Bot if you want to look at it with a broad view. The explosion completely disabled the machine, most of the damage seems unimportant accept for the part but..."

Mike held up the damaged part.

"This component is burnt out, it must have been damaged in the...accident with the pistol as the Bot worked previously to that so obviously it was damaged due to that incident."

"In short we're screwed in terms of repairing it boss...so...err"

Mike looked slightly worried for a moment before smiling again.
"What now boss?"

Yakai put his fingers either side of his nose.
"If that's the part that needs replacing, and we don't have the tools to fix it on us, bring it here and show it to the Computer. We were asked to fix it, and if we need to pay it's coming out of Desarius's account. I'm going to have a look at that alloy, see if we can patch it up. Desarius... stay where you are."

The Computer's voice comes from the speakers. 'Any progress, Troubleshooters? Remember, if there's anything you need it is your duty to order it at once.'

Yakai sighs, and hands it back.

"I'm going to have a look at the chassis metal, and see if I can mix up a rough fix. You are going to get the part, so that we can get this done much quicker. You have a better idea than I do about what this part might be. Don't be afraid to call me over for clarification."

Yakai crouched and had a careful, closer look at the robot. A grin slowly spread across his face as he felt the smoothness of the casting, before he caught himself and stood up.
Walking over to the console, he took the part off Mike again and quickly looked for a serial number.
While he looks, he begins speaking out loud to the console.
"Computer, Yakai-R-STC-1 here. Having assessed the damage caused by Desarius-R-SHT-1's pistol, Mike-R-CTT-1 believes that this is the only electrical component that needs replacing."
He holds up the part, turning it so that all identifying features can be seen by the camera.
"What's more, to repair the damage to the chassis also caused by Desarius-R-SHT-1's pistol, we will need a replacement locking mechanism, a small sheet of grade 6 stainless steel, a variety box of screws, a screwdriver, a welding torch and a touch of Formula 56 Metallic White Paint. Any expenses that this requires are to be taken from Desarius's account, as the damaging party."
"Mike-R-CTT-1 will now request any extra electronic repair equipment he will require. Mike, you have the console."

"It's not a point of not having the Tools boss, I have no idea how it works or what it does never mind fixing it. It's above my pay-grade. " he said in a strained voice as he tried to suppress his annoyance.

"Computer. We require a complete replacement for the internal part Team Leader just showed you that was destroyed due to Desarius's silly mistake." he said his voice back to it's usual cheeriness.

'Certainly citizen Yakai-R! The items you have requested will be on their way shortly! Citizen Mike-R, the part will be delivered as soon as you can give a serial number.'

D stands in the corner, arms folded, staring blankly ahead while his hand absently writes down notes in short hand, glancing around at individuals occasionally before staring ahead again.

The door begins to grind open noisily. The Computer's voice floats out of the speakers, concerned.

'Citizen Desarius-R, are you feeling happy?'

After a brief pause Desarius smiles wildly.

"Nearly ecstatic computer! I am merely writing an account of my fellow trouble shooters' progress as is my job."

Mike took the piece back of Yakai and frowned as he turned it over several times in his hands until he was certain it was utterly void of identifying markings.

"There's nothing on this piece to identify it by, what was R&D thinking?" he said quietly to Yakai "I'll order the standard electronic repair parts now but it's a slim chance I'll be able to do much with it."

"Computer I shall attempt to fix the piece instead." he said in his happy voice again "May I have a soldering iron, solder, some Isopropyl alcohol, a stiff brush and pliers please."

After speaking Mike turned slightly at the sound of the doors opening.

The doors open halfway then grind to a halt. A pair of RED-dressed men run to them and shove them the rest of the way open, then run back to a small trolley they were pushing. 'Looks like we delivered it just in time. Any longer and I doubt that would've opened at all!'

On the trolley is a two-foot square of steel in a GREEN plastic wrap marked 'Armour Plate: Grade 6', an-extra small pot of white paint, an INFRARED box marked 'Screws: Assorted' and a pair of small, RED boxes. The first is marked 'JiggleTools Modular Screwdriver'. The second is marked '[name-expunged-by-IntSec]& Mandy-R's Power Tools: Welding Torch (Left-Handed, Extra-Safe)'

From outside the door is the growl of a massive engine and a shrill electronic voice explaining that 'Caution: This vehicle is reversing. Caution: This vehicle is reversing. Caution...'

'Your requests will be delivered momentarily, citizen Mike-R!'

Mike grimaced as Yakai spoke

Maybe you shouldn't have pointed that out. he thought to himself silently.

Mike casually moved a few steps further away from his team leader...just in case.

At the mention of "Should we be using this?" D's eye's flicked up, an inner light betraying his interest.
