Hey guys, while i'm waiting for my first VC units to arrive i thought it might be worthwhile to show some of my past and present work (atleast the stuff i have pics of) most of it is 40k because i have only very recently switched to WFB. Some here is the Random stuff...

Thanks, i enjoy painting Eldar because it's easy to add an insane amount of detail if one desires. The Exarch is leader of another 5 man kill-team, i dont have any pics of the others.

I basically gathering ideas, themes and colour schemes for my upcoming VC's if anyone has some general tips?

my sugestion is pic your fav color then look at a color wheel to find 2 contrasting colors.

Do them justice? I hope the models do your painting skills justice - those models are superb, nice and crisp with the detail picked out perfectly. I will be waiting in anticipation for your VC painting log.

Thanks for the comments, i guess that basing is one of my biggest failings, something i need to work on.
I'm waiting for my first VC unit to come, a unit of Grave Guard which i intend to be my test unit, so as soon as they arrive i'll set-up an army thread to chart my progress.
I'm thinking of a Green, Purple and black base of colours to unify the overall look of my upcoming army.

I love the eldar and the space marines, they are so clean, precise and wonderful! My only comment is that the Eldar's colours don't quite go together.

How so? I chose the colours quite deliberately with the exception of the Green for the Dire Sword blade.

This Khorne Lord on Jugger isnt supposed to look nice and neat, i wanted a dirty, brutal and Daemonic feel to it. Still got alot of work
To do.

Well i understand that, i thought personally that the volume of the red was small enough not to upset the overall balance.
For me the green sword next to the blue core of the miniature is my only regret, i didnt have enough of the right metallics to paint the blade at that time so i went with the green.

I guess it comes down to personal preference aswell.

you might want to try scaring up the armor of the jugger that might help and heres a link on some nmm bashed up metal techniques. of corse you can just use the nmm as a refrance and use the metal if you want to.

Yeah i think your right, i like the horned head and will keep for use on something later. The blue/grey flesh is a throw back to my ancient Night Lords project, i expect many of the Vamps in my army will have this sort of skin tone.

i woudl use mr horny for a slanessh army it would fit right in. and that skin would look good on a vamp
