Right now using bret's with the dragon helms. May get these guys and use their horses, cuz right now I don't really like the normal horse on my blood knights.
Im not sure about the Dragon Princes being used as Blood Knights. Sure, they have pointy armor with dragons on it (Blood Knight theme anyone?!), but imho they are just a little skinny for a vampire. Also some of the insignias (sorry, if that is the wrong expression - i mean the symbols on the armor) just look too elfish. So does the scales on the horse's barding. I think I'd skill go for the Chaos Knights, as look way more evil to me :konrad: . Still I would agree that converting the new Dragon Princes is the easier job, because the Chaos Knights are just so chaosy and really like to show that on their armor

I do use Bretonnian Knights as my blood Knights and as my Black Knights. Don't get me wrong, I have 10 of the Blood Knight Models, they just don't fit my theme usually.
The Black Knights are black Clothed, Dark metal, black shield.

It was closer to £100 because of my discount and I got one box for free from gw because of a deafect in a banner model witch I then turned into a normal blood knight.

man its $100 here in the US for a box of five and my wallet cries itself to sleep everytime I brake em out. but I will definently be buying the new high elf guys and changing them into blood knights infact I still have some extra heads from the box that ill be using and maybe make them a little less elf like.

Hmm, I'm not sure to be honest. I look at GW's Blood Knights and then at these, and I have to say for how expensive they are I much prefer the Blood Knights due to their larger bulk, they actually look like they will rip you apart.
So for me it would be a pass.
However it is a possibility if you was doing a Blood Dragon themed army and then they could be viable as Black Knights.

I dont know just be careful , in some tournaments these things may not fly because well...at the end of the day they are not blood knights.

Honestly, while I think those Elves do work well, I see the Blood Knights either being more like Empire or Bret knights. So I'd rather convert or straight up use the Empire or Bret knights. Plus the Empire Knights, albeit old, are quite nice in my personal opinion.
I just don't envision the Blood knights being as flamboyant as those Elves (or Chaos in the flamboyantly spikey)... but that is my personal take on it.

As for suitable heads, some DE models have some very vampire-ish heads which with some painted on fangs, I'm sure they'd look mighty vampire-ish. Oh, and any legit vamp heads from your bitz box too.

Yeah, for some utterly unfathomable reason, GW decided that the £40 price needed to be raised by an extra £10 about a year after they were released.
I guess they saw that they weren't selling enough, so they had to raise the price by 25% to make more money.
I'll be using Morghul Knights. The smaller scale won't matter because the bulk of my army will be mantic models. Also, army of the dead for spirit hosts, wargs for dire wolves (slightly more expensive, but so much better looking), and a bat swarm to add variation. Getting 2 boxes of morghul knights... 10 of them to make blood knights, the remaining 2 to replace the black coach horses.
