Hello all,

I am playing a triump and treachery game and the reigns of chaos destroyed a complete unit. But does the choas player get the vicory points for that unit?

But isnt the reign of chaos just like the building that can cast fire balls on the closest unit?

when the building shoots at a unit and destroys it, no one will get the victory points.

The Chaos player does not cast anything the Reign of Chaos is just something in the air. And if the player does get the victory points who will get the points when a Chaos unit gets destroyed?

You tally points for anything not on the table that was in an army list. Unless something specifically tells you not too.

His question is about Triumph and treachery which is a 3+ player game. In triumph and treachery you get tokens for however many points a unit you destroy is worth. He want's to know if those points are lost, or if the chaos player gets the tokens for killing the units via reign of chaos table.

Sorry LordTobiothan, I dont understand what you mean

If an effect or attack from an opponent removes something worth points they get those points. Reign of chaos is an effect of the chaos army correct? So therefore his army removed it.

If I'm misremembering what reign of chaos is then I might be incorrect.

No, you're correct Tobiothan.

How about this case: in yesterdays T&T game, one of my opponent's units was completely wiped out by a miscast large template. We played that nobody got victory points from this, since it wasn't damage dealt by anybody to anybody. Correct?

I agree with LordTobiothan. The rulebook is not specific here. You are awarded points for each destroyed enemy unit. That is all it says. Therefore you get the VPs no matter how they were killed, be it by the reign of chaos or a miscast.

In the case of T&T you are correct. As that specific scenario awards points for the capture not for the banner itself. Meaning doing it yourself is basically points denial.

We even considered giving him the VP because he dealt the damage himself Nicreap :)! I played the 'miscast on any double' card after he announced 6-dicing his only spell. It gave a 1,2,3,4,6 result with one die falling off the table, so he almost got away with it! Almost ;)
Reign of chaos destroying their own unit is similar to miscast explosions, misfiring warmachines blowing up etc, so death by friendly fire. In these cases when playing T&T, I would say no victory tokens to any player.
