So. I just went through and found 20 more grave guard just sitting in my bits box, so I put em together and lined all my models up for display. I got the sudden urge to point it up, see how much I could make out of it....

Boy was I surprised.

I have over three THOUSAND points in Vampire Counts. That's NOT including characters or magic banners.

I was curious. How many points do other people here have? Call it the competitive urge, but I was just wondering how my Horde ranked against yours.

Edit: It'll end up at about 5,000 points once I factor in upgrades.

Edit 2: Also gonna chuck in another 5 Dire Wolves at some point. I need moar of those. :lol:

I'm really tempted to go back and change the characters....I've only been putting them as Vampire Lords if you (The Carpe Noctem Member) has been specifically labeling them as lords....so now we've got less than ten Lords/Ladies for this entire host. That might work in a fluff standpoint I'd guess, but it just seems small.

I'll probably go through and edit it, later of course, so that the list shows Mounted Characters separate from unmounted. Just for variety.

We broke 400 on skeletons! This makes me happy. There are virtually no ghouls, though....why is there no love for our strigoi brethren?

Well I first thought I saw some redicolously high numbers, but then I realised he only had 533 skeletons... So you see I still think that's quite a lot of models.

And with an army that size I feel I have the right to say "wow you've got a lot of stuff".

Now that I have my list before me, I can add my missing items:

Vampires (Not listing them separately as Lords or not...): 10 (Including 3 of the old Citadel Werewolf models that were going to be Wolf Form Vampires, back when it was a Bloodline power and not a magic item.)


And items not to add to the list yet as I haven't figured out where to put them:
Liche King from Catacombs of Terror (I'm thinking Mr. Van Damneg might get himself a converted corpse cart for his throne.)

3 "Tomb Guardians" also from Catacombs of Terror (Either Grave Guard Champions or Wight Kings, maybe even converting one to carry a standard and make the BSB.)

And that confusion makes me laugh. You know how much I'd love to see 500+ skeletons hit the table? It'd be like ringing the Skaven bell in real terms, because the other army would just look at this and go. "Hrm. Wtf mate. There's not a flank, and that's a shedload of spears."

Not to mention the Vampire in most every unit with more magical punch than any army can bring against us.
