I am hoping cav strike first again and ginat infantry death star blocks are killed off.
Sick of steadfast and how useless fear and terror are compared to how they were in 7th.

I actually don't hope they kill them off, I think hordes look very cool and feel rather fantasy'y. But I totally agree that they should do something about steadfast, if they improve cavalry and changes steadfast it could be rather cool while both were still very viable.

Terror and fear are just soaking up points because somehow GW think they make the biggest impact in the world..

Well the steadfast is my biggests problem with the damn things.
No Matter how many you kill you just can't rout them without massive weight of attacks, this is why we are so relient on blenders.

Yeh, fear and terror are barly worth the paper they are printed on these days compared to what they where.
Everyone and their Grandmother has Stubborn Re Rollable Leadership 10 on 3D6 discarding the highest. :swear:

So dwarves then? awesome! looking forward to seeing how they turn out with runes and if they get anything monstrous ^^. Golems of some kind?

How about an all in one fix? When fighting against a unit with fear successful Ld rolls have to be rerolled, as well as what it does now.

If slayers dont get moved to core i refuse to acknowledge a dwarf book. Also if half the rumors for 9th are true i will not be happy

Also long as they make slayers moire useful I will be happy.

Anywya on another note were GW not talking about adding armies to multi books where you have all the forces of order under one and Destruction under the other?

true that.....i heard simplified rules by miles and MANY special rules will go down the drain.
streamlining the elves now in eight points somewhat to this.

DdM: i heard just one army book with all armies. but one for good and one evil makes more sense. specially money wise for GW ;)

And do we know when the Main Rulebook itself is out?

Also, I'd rather individual army books, because one book (or two) for every army would make them massive, with all the fluff (though really all the fluff you need for the overall army is in the Main Rulebook) and rules and everything for 13 or so armies. Someone had better go and get a packhorse.

I'm assuming the book is just a temporary measure to tie most armies over until they can get a 9th edition book. they did the same thing a few editions ago. That said however, if they print it in full high quality printing and hard cover with a premium price then that isn't cool.

If anyone can enlighten me on these supposed changes johnny is upset about as i am very curious!

Also i am fine with steadfast as long as they tweak it so if you are engaged on two sides you cannot be steadfast, or disrupted to you and me.

Question:
why would I buy this version if 9th Ed is going to be out in 2014?!?

Games Workshop: Digital Editions
I'm sure you can appreciate we can't comment in detail on any future un-anounced releases, but we wouldn't be releasing a new book to have it become redundant soon after.

It wasn't that long ago that 8th was released was it?? I dont game very often but it certainly doesn't feel more than a year or 2 at most, although no doubt im wrong.

As for armies of order and destruction books ideas go if its to tie armies over till 9th edition would it not just be easier to make minor alterations through White Dwarf? Rather then two potentially huge books people have to carry round

I know what you mean, it doesn't seem like 8th has been out long to me either but its been about 4 years. I've heard the rumour of a few giant books for multiple armies in 9th as well, i think it would be a mistake though, i have most of the fantasy armies (of varying sizes) so it wouldn't bother me much if they did it but some people only play one or two armies so i couldn't see them paying a hefty price for a book when they only want the one set of rules/fluff.

From what i have heard its supposed to be Dwarves then Wood Elves for the next fantasy releases. I dont much care about the elves but i hope it is right about the Dwarves, though i have a horrible feeling they are going to end up with a magic phase/lore and it be explained as unleashing magic from runes in a similar way to how bound spells work
