To my home. Don't worry, I know the drill. I spoiled Privateer Press's Wrath book a few days before release on their own forum. :)

Because Sunderland is a 1 man store.....

I'm really looking forwards to the new gear but I still see GG leading the way.
Take the min amount of core and mountains of GG with GW to set right some wrongs, giant infantry or not with the amount of regen we have, even with it being poor regen all our foes will have flaming somewhere.

I´ll be able to pick up my preorder (highly appropiately I think) at the stroke of midnight at my local GW, the guy running the shop is going to be there between 12 and 1 to do just that. Problem is, I´ll have to work the next day, starting at 8 am (until 10 pm), so this is either going to be a short night and a very tiring saturday, or a very *long* saturday waiting for my break to run over to the store and pick up my stuff.

Two questions about Zombies came to my mind (sorry if we´ve answered these before, on so many pages details are sometimes easy to miss): If Zombies have ASL, how does that work when they get ASF from the CC? Will they go in initiative order (read: still strike last), or does the new rule replace the old one?

Also, we have all seen the picture wth the Zombies led by the characters, so I assume their old rule of not being able to be joined by other models is gone? Do we have anything definite on this? (the picture might just have been a mistake, after all). Or in other words: Will I finally be able to put Wraith heroes into Zombie units again??? One of my favourite combinations back in ´94 with the first Undead army book... can you spell "tarpit"?

I recall reading in the BRB that ASF and ASL cancel each other out.

I know its a one man store but still sometimes you just have to complain a little

It looks like gw is converting all models to resin. Even outdated ones that may end up in the collectors section soon. With a lot of the new finecasts being web exclusives I'm hoping for a second wave(even though this technically is the second wave) perhaps one featuring new fell bats and swarms as well as a ghoul king on foot and a new black coach and zombies(even though I'm happy with the current models)...one can only wish. Hey they might be saving it for the release of the next twilight movie.

This new line up of models are truly breath taking and makes my black heart beat with all the love our army is getting.

I hope Wargamer can verify info from spanish forum:

>>> Dance Macabre = free move (no charge) or re-roll to Hit

>>> GG = 0,5 slaves for a 2HW

>>> Skeletons = free Spear swap for HW, Ld 3, 2.5 slaves for LA, Shield and HW

>>> Ghoul King is A5 as the Vampire Lord, he is 20 slaves more expensive but is +1 I -1 WS -1 LD plus the Hatred and Poison

>>> Vlad still comes back on a 2+ thanks to the Ring, if either of the Carstein couple dies, the other gets Hatred and Frenzy

>>> Magic levels on Vamps are 17.5 slaves

>>> Ghoul King can't take magic armour nor improve above his initial magic level 1

>>> Hero vamps can take Coven Throne

>>> Black Coach
3+ AS 4+ Ward
Power from Death same as before, but only works in your own Magic Phase, roll 1D6 for each of your PD, each 6 gives the Coach a "token" (same as before, only now it doesnt "leech" those PD):
1 - Scythed Wheels
2 - +1S for the Wraith and Nightmares
3 - Killing Blow and Flaming attacks for charge impacts, Wraith and Nightmares
4 - MR2 and free movement
5 - Ethereal
6 - Flight

>>> Hexwraiths can only do their fly-through thing to a single unit per turn

>>> It seems Dark Acolyte adds +1d3 to the casting roll, not to the amount of wounds recovered...

>>> Vampire Lord can choose Death/Shadow/Vampire Lores

Black Coach lost it antimagic ability. To be honest I think now it should cost less than 200 points

Do I have to murder a gw employee to get fell bats to a reasonable price?
To be fair, there are three in the box as opposed to one. If i remember rightly, one was about £8 ($12-$16) so it is not that bad a price

It's the fact the materials to make them each cost about 50 cents that makes me want to set something on fire.

On the subject of bats (and the rumoured improvements/points cut that has me at least considering taking them) I did some digging to see if their were any alternatives to the GW ones, seeing as I really hate their version.

There's not much out there to be honest, but Masquerade Models do some rather nice ones. Fairly pricy, but still come out much the same as the Finecasted GW price even factoring in worldwide postage at 10 Euros - Linky. Not to mention if your in the mood for more bats they do some impressive looking bat swarms (1, 2) as well - again, cheaper than GW now they've been Finecasted. Though the swarms do look like they could well be something of a pain to put together/keep together.

Great models....much better than the gw ones...and at about half the price.... GW makes some awesome miniatures... but when they try to push some second rate crap on you because you NEED it in your army it's good to know that others step up :) (well... 10th rate crap really.. the fell bats are horrible models)

I'm told that with plastics it costs a lot more to make the molds, etc. So although the materials are cheaper, they have a much higher initial investment that they need to recoup. It's why smaller companies stick to white metal: they can't afford to produce plastic models.
And in this case, I can't afford to buy them.
It seems like GW is dispensing with the idea that if you can sell enough plastic models to justify the expensive infrastructure, you can sell them for cheap compared to metal.

If I get my copy before someone on WarSeer does (seems unlikely), I'll be sure to answer questions.

Anyone can link me to this Spanish forum? I'm from Puerto Rico and Spanish is my native tongue. :)

Sprues are cheaper than metal. If they make a mistake on a resin model then its thrown out whereas pewter can go right back in the mold, making resin more expensive...or at least thats what I'm told.

Apparently vamps can take armour now. This appears to be Just upgrades. Not from the power or item allowance, I'm happy about this now that a shield and heavy armour are an option. I think I said we should have this several pages ago do to all our minis wearing armour. This+hunger+lore attribute = vamps being much less fragile.
From warseer:

Vampire Lord/Vampire (everything in slaves)

Magic level: 17.5/17.5(level 2 max)
AHW: 2/1.5
2HW: 5/4
Lance (if mounted): 5/4
Shield: 1.5/1
Heavy armor: 3/2
Barded Nightmare: 12/12
Infernal Steed: 15/15
Abyssal Terror: 60/
-Zombie Dragon: 122.5/
-Coven Throne: 115/115
