Post #243 you write 19 power dice.
You use 3 PD on your spell, which brings your pool to 16 PD.
Lost 2 PD in your miscast, thats 14 PD.
In post #248 you list 15 PD.

Oh. Lol, I can't subtract apparently. Thanks for the heads up, I totally would've missed that.

Also, I keep forgetting to use the Cursed Book. I shelled out 17.5 Skavenslaves for that thing, the least I could do is remember to use it...

Hehe, reminds me of alot of the upgrades I use on my imperial guard- I purchase them and then forget to use them.
I will chuck 3 dd at the IoN.

Okay, so that makes it 12 PD to 3 DD. The Vampire Lord will throw 5 dice at the 18" range IoN. It looks like the Zombies, Grave Guard, and maybe Skeletons are in range, but I can't whip out Batchron right now to check. Level 3, needing a 15.

Well, upon checking with the 18" ruler (because Batchron only measures from the centers of units), it looks like Z2, GG, Sk, and Z3 are in range. Rolling for Z2, 2D6 + 3 for caster level.

Eh, ill pass on dispelling that...
Out of curiosity, just how many wounds overall did you IoN back? Its sounding like IoN has become a really good spell.

30 wounds (+1 if you count the lore attribute) from a single spell. Granted, it was the 18" range one, but still...that's quite a lot. I think the key is to use high-level wizards. That way you get a minimum of 4 or 5 wounds per unit.

In any case, rolling for CoY on the Black Widderz. The character is on the left, followed by the unit champion, then all of the other guys. Needing 6+ to wound...

It scatters 1" back towards the spider. And I think that's the first successful template hit all game. In any case, that spider must make an initiative test or die.

On to the shooting phase!
