I've been thinking about what you guys have said, and I have a question.

If I wanted to use this as a mortis engine, would it be allowed since my conversion is shorter than the standard model?

I don't see any problem with using it as a ME. It is about the same height as my ME conversion I think, and I can't see any reasonable person complaining about you using such a great looking model

That engine looks great, I'm planning a conversion using there knights from the front and a chariot, and now I know what to do with the ghosts from the back.

It already looks more like a ME to me than a CC...And I think most people will agree, this little size difference...Meh, if you can't shoot it due to the 2 cm that are missing, give them their try and let them complain about the missing rolls later ;D

I'm going to use it as a CC 99% of the time, but I wanted your thoughts on using it sometimes as ME because of the height difference

I don't think it should be a problem. You could always clarify at the beginning of a game that the original model is taller and that due to the magics of the Warhammer World the hit box of your fig hovers up to about "here".

Lots of boring - but necessary, production stuff lately

Bases and movement trays -

3 units of skeletons, 4 units of dire wolves, and a black knight deathstar.

The bases are a mix of Ghostly Graveyard and Battlefield Bases from Base X of War. They do incredible work, and I highly recommend you check them out.

I decided to magnetize the bases like so -

The magnets were countersunk into the bases, so they remain flush against the magnetic paper I applied to the trays. They're just strong enough to hold the unit in place -

Since I'm using resin bases w/magnets, I've chosen to pin the legs to the bases.

As you know, regular skeleton ankles aren't ideal for pinning - so I'm using Grave Guard legs for all of my Skeleton Warriors -

Yea... this army is going to take a while o.o

I love the idea of using graveguard legs. They'll give the models a bit more hefty an appearance, and just look way cooler than normal skeleton legs probably. You should build and paint a test model for us to look at, lol. Looking forward to seeing the finished product!

I'm also interested to see how these bare chested GG variant will look Looks promising to say at least. Getting all those legs must have been a hassle

With skeleton warriors you have 3 options - shirtless, pantless, or both. I opted for shirtless :lol:

He still needs some clean-up, but I like the style so far. What do you think?

Just a sneak peek at my Vampire Lord. He's currently held together with pins, just so I could visualize the project

Obviously the Chaos icons will be filed and smoothed down, and I have a lot of green stuff to do.

You might notice the metal head from the Blood Knights kit. Some very important backstory, and the real reason for this update -

Ever since I laid eyes on that kit, I knew THAT was the head I wanted someday for my Vampire Lord. Tracking a metal one down was nigh impossible. It wasn't until I saw a post from Swoosh in the Undertaker's Auction, that my dream would become reality.

I contacted Swoosh about the Blood Knights he was selling, with the intent of buying ALL of them JUST to get that head (yes I'm that obsessive). That's when Swoosh did something incredibly generous.

Swoosh snapped the head off of the Blood Knight, and offered to send it to me for free. Needless to say, I was blown away. When I requested his Paypal address to send him some money, he politely refused.

SO A HUGE SHOUT-OUT TO SWOOSH !!!!! THANK YOU

Good choice of mount for the Lord, it always does make him look boss.

You really are going all out though, I hate sitting down to such huge amounts of models, it drives me mad... Mad i tell you!
