This next update is off topic I'm afraid, but here's what I've been working on lately, as I just had to paint something else for refreshment. Lateksimajava is responsible for inspiring me on this one. (check out his army from warhammer-empire -forum )

The crew are WIP, also some little tiny details on the cannon surroundings needs to be finished. Here you go:

The photos are really better! The colors are also different, hopefully they're more like the real deal The mounted vampire brings me some nice nostalgia about old VC mini range

As for the cannon, looks cool! The scrolls of text laying around are really awesome! That's something self made or bought?

@Sessioni Nice job on painting this one up, really nice basing too. I like the colour scheme you've gone for on their clothes.

Yeah so, some of you know I have started a new plog in "The faces of our next meal" -subforum, so no undead in a while. No promises tho, I paint what I please at the time. I will probably finish the Zombie Giant as it is almost ready, and I would love to have the strength to finish my take on Zombie dragon. But time will tell. Anyways I decided to take a picture from my almost finished portion of my army (this is really like 2/5 of my army, lots of things to paint). I also installed LED-lighting to my glass cabinet, which is cool!

Anyways, I keep on plogging with my Empire. What you see here in the picture took me about a year to paint, and some of them aren't nearly finished but good enough for me to be placed in the vitrine.

I'd say that's a years worth of painted minis to be proud os @Sessioni ! Very nice looking force! Favorite must be the ethereal additions to units and mounts! It really gives a spooky look.

@Borgnine Yeah, I really think everyone should place his/her miniatures somewhere one can see them. It's funny how some people spend hours and weeks painting a single model and then stuff it in figure case or similar. The installation was very easy, I bought the set from IKEA for about 9 euros, I used double sided strong tape to attach the light sources in the roof of the cabinet, and the wires goes through the roof-hole. But obviously there are hundreds of variants on the market, some of them are probably more professional type of lighting, but this is good enough for me.

There has been bunch of things happening in my life lately so I havent had time to paint nor post here. I moved to a different apartment and got engaged with me lady But I have been working on vampires lately, and other heroes too. Lots of them are already ready but I need to take proper pics of them when I have time for that. Right now Im working on a Black Coach, my favorite model actually. I hope I will have time to post them before weekend, since I'll go hiking in Halti next week. It is the tallest mountain in Finland, and Im super excited about it!

Good to see you back! Congratulations on managing with the moving and getting engaged! That's always a tough mess - the moving, I mean! I think we can expect some top-notch work if there's a favourite model involved

Thanks for the warm welcome fellas! Yes, it's quite different to move in to another house when you are a miniature enthusiast I forgot to mention my new work place, everything is new and I'm now learning to settle and continue this hobby. Here are the promised pictures. I just had to take a group photo just to see how the Black Coach fits in! I am not 100% happy with some of the characters I painted, but the fact that they are.. you know, painted, makes me happy

@Sessioni Nice job on the coach, I like the split ethereal/material mix. Not the first time I've seen it but your bright ethereal makes it look pretty striking. You've got a nice collection of characters too!

@Mad 'At Actually the banner says Morr, but I just realized the tremendous conflict there is, as cult of Morr is actually enemy of the undead. I feel so silly now :slapface:

Your army looks terrific! Consistent reds and etheral color, it makes a very good effect Great work on the coach, shifting into etheral-ness is a great idea. I would consider making it more gradual, but this is awesome nontheless. Also, great shading on that Vampire's coat

Very nice, I like the bright red / bright green / shadow grey palette of the army. I could never get the grey-skinned look to work, but your characters look great.

Just testing the imgur phone app, I don't have a computer yet. I think this works just fine. So yeah, just finished the Mordheim vampire, I used an empire militia halberd because I don't have the original arm. I painted this one very fast and it's not as well painted as my other vamps.

Yesterday I bought this bad boy, I started putting it together today and we'll see just how long it will take to finish it. I'm pretty excited about this, altho I am a little scared about it too, such an epic model.

@Borgnine @Shadespyre Thanks for the comments! My color scheme just happened, I never really planned it but I like it too! I love painting the pinkish red

@Farmer7574 Thank you kindly I like paining as much ethereal as I can, rulewise/fluffwise. The mortis engine will fit nicely in my army's theme, I will add more spirit horde to it, and paint the thing mostly ethereal.

@Farmer7574 I am beginning to love this model, the boring part is now over. Here's where I'm at

I have painted the spirit horde's base color and added the wash in bony parts. My bone techinque will be the same as usual;
-Bonewhite
-50/50 Verde green/Marrow brown wash
-drybrush with Bonewhite
-highlight carefully with 50/50 Bonewhite/white
-final highlight pure white
