So it seems that Khemri has really settled down for their everlasting sleep (as per @Unas the slayer). As CN is becoming a home for all things dead in AoS, I think it would be good to also welcome our Tomn King cousins and expand our WHFB section slightly to include them. I'm sure given time I could sort out a TK theme so they feel at home!

There has also been a suggestion that if there are forumless armies (i.e. Skaven etc) could we give them a home. My feeling is yes as a subsection initially and see where it goes.

Well I dont have any VC model at all, so I suppose the undying are more worthy than me to be here.

My opinion, this forums are more of a community sharing thoughts, guides, and images of the hobby so anyone should be welcome...apart from dark elves.

So, for the time being, I think the following sounds ok:

Update the WHFB forum to be both VC and TK

Tweak the other forum to clearly call out it's for other WHFB armies, might enable some prefixs in there. Then might go around the old forums and where I can get access, try and give it a shout out?

On Lustria i know Y'ttar Scaletail, which is named Ratty Gnawtail on the Under-Empire, a moderator there

Great, any other mods from the other sites? Might as well chat to them all together!

mmm... i know also Karak Norn Clansman (Chaos Dwarfs online). i will inform him, linking to this thread.

EDIT: sent messages to Ratty Gnawtail and Karak Norn

According to this thread, our member @snyggejygge is/was the owner of the Chaos forum. He was last online here in 2016 so not sure if you'll able to make contact but worth a try maybe.

They are more than welcome - however I would suggest having only one subforum for non-death armies, as our site already has too much clutter imo.
Imo, we could have a section for non-Death factions, but I do feel this place being all for Death (WFB and AoS) would be best.

Pretty much agree with this. While the other armies are welcome (I mean I collect like 5 of them 😛), I would personally like the main focus to stay on all things undeathly. One sub-forum for living armies sounds like a solid compromise IMO.

Thanks @Unas the slayer - the help is really appreciated.

Ideally, I'd really like to get hold of someone who can access the Admin panel over at Khemri, so we can email their member base. We could even migrate their threads over so they don't lose what is no doubt loads of good info and stuff, but can't do any of that if we can't get hold of an admin

Comments on noted on supporting non-death armies. I'll do some consolidation of the forums shortly, and then you guys can let me know what you think.

quick recap:

Ratty Gnawtail answered to your post on Lustria

Admiral (Chaos Dwarfs) PMed me this:
"This is good news. I'm too tired at the moment, but will try to help out later.
I had to stop posting on forums that got dragged down by Tapatalk. It made using the forums a hassle.
I plan to later on post a detailed plan for resurrecting forums via Discourse forum software. Reboots. It's working excellently on CDO at the moment. Easy image upload is key: Remember that. If you've got easy image upload, then forums can outcompete social media.
Third party image sharing was always a big hassle
."

Regarding Khemri, I've sent a PM to the current Admin available. as soon as i get an answer i'll tell you.

Cheers for the info @Unas the slayer, and I really do appreciate the help - I'm finding there is so much to do to get CN up and running smoothly again! Let me know if you get any answer back from Khemri, as I officially have made Tomb Kings part of CN now 😁

On the note of the easy image upload, we're on the same software as Lustria. It's fully responsive and as far as I'm aware does a great job of allowing you to easily upload to? Has anyone experienced any issues?

Nope, works very smooth. I uploaded all those Golden Bat photos with it and had no issues whatsoever. The batch attach/import option is great as well. Also, the save draft option is a blast!

Uploads on Lustria work perfectly, so i'd say it's good

Great, it was a problem with old forum software, but it's built to handle it now and we have plenty of storage space. We even have a function enable to source linked images and upload them so we don't lose links in the future!
