@Infernal Skull: That looks great. Seldom have I seen such a clean paint job on a Mortis Engine. Also, is that large terrain piece in the background some hint of what might some to Skull Forge Scenics? It looks really cool.
@Infernal Skull really amazing work with the Engine. As @Mad 'At said, it's just so clean work. Very well thought color palette, every part stands out as it's own without hindering others.
Usually I see this model painted so that it's hard to make sense where the spirits end and the engine starts as it's just so challenging of a model to paint. You've mastered this, my hat is off to you.
Thanks, guys! This thing was a pain to paint, and I must confess that I'm not entirely satisfied with it. The colors are just a little too disparate between the spirits and the fire. I've seen others that are painted in a more monochromatic scheme, (blue-green spirits and green fire) and I think that works much better. If I had to do it over (or if I make another one) I might well remove the fire so it doesn't distract from the spirits.
@Infernal Skull: That's a shame. Nice tutorial though, guess I'll have to have a go at building my own then. I also found your tutorial for Flagstone Streets. Good stuff, I will definitely draw inspiration from it.
