overall i'm satisfied with how my vargheist turned out. i might go back and work a bit on his face but otherwise im satisfied. the crypt horror is a bit meh... too green! ^^ with a bit more experience with green stuff i think i could have sculpted better legs. hover that was my first semi-scratch build so i think its ok. and well i got the crypt horror for free..

CnC welcome :)

best regards
alex

Catachan green as base colour ,than i started to add fortress grey to this mix,did about 6 layers altogether, maybe more, and the back ,is dark angels green as base clour then a bit catachan green and a bit fortress grey in the end.

Finally a Crypt Horror! I knew as soon as I saw the boxes that the Vargeists were going to be the favorites, but I plan on running on 3 of those suckers (tandem with my Vargulf) and two units of 6 horrors. Thanks for the inspiration & ideas for my own units!

Cheers,
Brahm

My take on the Vargheists, i aimed for a natural earthy palete, the pale skin contrasts with the dark leathery wing menbranes. I tried to make the eyes strike out in the faces, hungry and glowing red. They are based on rocky terrain, which i hope helps enforce the 'wild and hungry' look i have tried to achieve.

Got some Vargheists from my wife for an easter gift (best easter basket ever). That pushed me to finally finish my Crypt Horrors too.

The default look of the Crypt Horrors didn't fit with the look of my army so I got some spare Varghiest heads and hacked off the bone piercings.

so wrong yet so wonderful hehe nice preverted christmas

Now where is the ghoul santa from. I like him and have a ghoul project coming up.

I wish that I could remember - I thought it might be Heresy Miniatures, but that is my Big Boris Santa.

It's not Foundry, but they do have a nice set of "Scary" Santas

If I can figure it out, I will post it here

Here's my first attempt at conversions... I used 6 leftover CH backs/arms/heads from my Vargheist sprues and bought a box of Ogre Bulls for a lor cheaper. I think they look pretty creepy and regeneraty - used a little varnish to make the skin/pussy sacs look wet.
