Those are Balrog wings, tattered up and puttied to meet the body. More detail shots and WIPs can be seen on my blog (in the signature link).

Your conversion work is top notch. This looks like the kit was made this way. You sir are a genius...

Infernal skull, well done sir, very well done.

I am one of the (seemingly) few people out there who dislikes the varghulf model.
His pose just seems very odd to me, don't now why, just have no idea what he is supposed to be doing?
But this, I love it! I tip my hat to you sir.
A design that I might just attempt myself, so thank you!

@ Infernal Skull: That's the best Varghulf I've ever seen. I can't help but smile when I'm thinking about the Varghulf flapping its huge wings on the battlefield, desperately trying to fly. xD

@ Dibidoolandas: Cool Varghulf! Is the dripping blood made from green stuff?

Thanks man! Yes it is green stuff. I considered using superglue for maybe a more realistic dripping but I wanted more control.

After seeing Infernal Skull's absolutely brilliant Varghulf, I wanted to give it a try myself. All credit to Infernal Skull for the idea... I just wanted to play with one ;)

With my complete lack of experience here's what I was able to do. Chopped up the pewter figure I had. Took Crypt Horror legs and used wires & nails to make a frame, then greenstuff to fill in the cracks. Getting him to stand up, while leaning forward was a pain.

In base-to-base, he towers over the other models. He's pretty tall too, so it really takes focus from my other varghulf while they shoot at this one
