Sisters are doin' it for themselves....

Hello everyone!

So of all the armies in the 40k universe to choose from, one stands above all the others as my number one favorite, Sisters of Battle. From their baroque girdle-power armour, to their fanatical (or should I say zealous) devotion to the Emperor I absolutely love them. Recently I won a few lots on E-Bay and have obtained about 60 Sisters (including Seraphim and multiple weapon load outs) and decided to get knee deep in some "nuns with guns".

As you can tell I decided to go with the Order of the Argent Shroud. I've only seen one Argent Shroud army way back in the golden days of White Dwarf that was done very well and see way too many Order of Our Martyred Lady armies lately. So enough chatting and onto the pics.

So here is the first squad undercoated

The first finished Sister (the test figure)

Decided to change up the scheme a bit, swapping the white for the red.
I may keep the normal white robes for the "grunts" and go red for the Sister Superiors. Maybe keep the lining idea, with red on white and white on red if that makes any sense.

Ooh, I like it! Very 'clean.'
In all honesty, I think you should keep the red cloth; white cloth with snow bases may overpower the models, and the red looks great how it is!

Thank you and yes it is a shame you don't see more of the Nuns with Guns. Their still to me a viable army if not a little misunderstood. We'll see how 6th edition fairs them.

Hopefully they will be decent. It'd be nice if they finally get a codex in the next 6-12 months (like the Blood Angels did after their WD dex).

I wish I had time to paint... I have an entire Sisters army unpainted. Most of them even need to be stripped first, adding even more work.

*wonders how many comments I will get about stripping Sisters*

Yeah I hope the get an official shiny new Codex soon myself.
Maybe some plastic model kits would be really nice too.
I too have to strip all the Sisters (hehe) I have before I can begin painting them.
This project is just a pure labor of love so I don't mind taking longer to get them painted.
