Josef - don't move to the UK - its going a bit downhill at the mo, going into a recession etc. I live here and I would not recommend it.

I was going to apply for the painting position that gw had I really want out of texas and the US lol. been in the same blasted town for 21 years and im within 5 min of my parients it sucks. anyways ill have to wait for another opening at gw idk i just wanna see something new.

Trondheim, in the middle of Norway.

However my place of birth was even further up north in a small town called Bodø. The nice thing about Bodø was that you got the midnight sun at midsummer. This means that the sun never sets, but is up all day long. Good for keeping vampires away ;)

*Phew*

Lots of copy/paste, but I managed to put up a partial overview over where everyone is living. I hope anyone don't mind me posting this information online and violating some personal sphere, but I figured that if you don't mind stating where you live in this thread, then you'll probably don't mind it if I put it on a map. If on the other hand, you feel offended in some way, then I'll remove your location or the entire map.

So far I've only come as far as page 1 of this thread, but I'll see if I can continue updating when I find the time or if I decide not to delete the map.

Anyway, here's the map

I hail from the Geordie Nation of Newcastle upon Tyne. Yes we class ourselves as having our own nation but I think thats because we dont want to be associated with our closest neighbours of Sunderland and Middlesbrough. as for a matter Disciple raised I'd prefer if the world spoke geordie (helpful little translator from english to geordie link below)
http://www.geordie.org.uk/
and you reckon thousands of women use to get wet at the mention of the ill be honest legendary sean bean. although most might not admit it but i bet there are plenty out there who need to change there pants at the sight of Cherly Tweedy (Cherly Cole to many others)

im from boness, a town in scotland thats near falkirk and edinburgh and is renowned for...
eh...
nothing realy i just live there

but its not bad having a GW within 20mins drive
and all this peace and quiet gives me the time i need to paint

burlington, ontario.
and yes, we have snow... oodles and oodles of it... but unlike toronto, we do not expect the canadain army to shovel it for us!

anyways, i'm a redshirt at the local GW, and the worst dice roller in the store to boot!

cheers!

haha i hope they havent found me again
(for those of you outside of the joke, a house in boness was raided last year and was apparently one of the big meth labs sending stuff all over the world)

Seems like everybody here is from Australia, UK, USA or northern countries of Scandinavia! As I said in my presentation topic I'm from Italy. We got amazing food, really nice weather and - if you're asking it - 'defenestration' is probably an italian word. xD
And yet, i dream about moving in the UK!

Why?? I can't think of a reason why people would want to emmigrate to the UK at the moment.

Basically because it's always better than staying here (and I like the British culture).
Italy is a beautiful country, but also a total mess - seriously, it's like Tilea in Warhammer - it seems like there's no law at all but corruption, lack of public services and useless bureaucracy everywhere. People normally get used to it, but i really can't stand this state of things.

lol I second that.

But still, I'd like Italy over UK... better weather
